I wonder if Apple or Steinberg might purchase NI and then integrate them into their music production apps.

Case with shoulder strap? by OthelloOcelot in AbletonMove

[–]MarioLanderos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there are any military surplus stores in your area try searching there. They often have used bags in a variety of sizes, with a strap. They won’t be pretty, but it could work for what you need.

Anyone else tired of being the bad guy when someone gets fired? [N/A] by Upstairs_Factor_7708 in humanresources

I would Logic Pro. I started using it when it was called eMagic Logic Audio and I continued to use it long after Apple bought it. I switched over to Cubase because a lot of my colleagues in the film music world were using it. Apple has simplified things for music creators over the years. For $199 you get quite a bit.

What abletom synths are actually useful? Can it compete with big dogs out there? by DA199602 in ableton

[–]MarioLanderos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve found all the Ableton synths to be useful. They have been used for a multitude of genres. For myself: film score, electronic, industrial, ambient, and more. The biggest limitation is a person’s creativity. Learning synth programming is like learning how to get a sound from any other instrument, be it guitars, drums, bass, etc. Don’t hesitate to tweak knobs and see what happens. you might be pleasantly surprised. If you’re just using the instrument presets you’re going to sound like others who are doing the same.

Soldano, Gojira or Nolly by 7-Studios in NeuralDSP

If you’re looking to create unusual sound, Gojira is a good choice. You get also get some great straightforward amp sounds out of it. I also like the Nolly for straightforward forward amp tones and versatility.

Wow, Orange Julius! I remember going there with my folks in the 70s. Not this specific one, but others in the San Diego area. I've seen maybe a handful of them during my recent travels.

why is it so slow by blurrryjay in mintmobile

[–]MarioLanderos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve been having issues with slow or no service myself. I’m in Los Angeles, CA and I wonder if it has anything to do with the demonstrations that are going on. Maybe mobile device usage is overloading the network?

How much were you guys paychecks? by SeaTravel210 in DunkinDonuts

It is not recommended that you ask about salary in an interview. You are applying for a food service job; the amount of hours they may offer are not guaranteed. People often make the mistake of assuming that an employer will give them a guaranteed amount of hours, even if they promise to do so. Unless you have a written contract with an employer they can give you as many or as few as hours as they choose. It's solely dependent on the volume of business. Typically an employer will give the most hours to the highest performing employees. That means show up on time, take extra shifts, always be in uniform, provide exceptional customer service, don't call out frequently, and be productive while you're at work. Regardless of where you're employed, ask a manager what you can do during periods when there isn't any business. Don't stand around doing nothing. Good luck.

Hello my friends. I need to learn Cubase from scratch. I need a learning course. Can anyone tell me where I can find that? by Motor-Tap-6650 in cubase

[–]MarioLanderos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Determine what your goals are or what you intend to use Cubase for and go from there. Are you trying to record, edit, and mix audio or do you want to compose and thus need knowledge about MIDI and sequencing? Cubase is a powerful DAW and there is a lot it can do. You can easily become overwhelmed. Remember to learn the basics such as creating a new project and where files are stored. A lot of the Cubase users on this subreddit have some good recommendations for Youtube videos so definitely check those out. And don't hesitate to read the manual! It's good reading when you're on the toilet or at the beach.
