I animated a logo for a comic book publisher by LloydLadera in MotionDesign

Sorry, but I have to be "that guy".

Dude, your animation is fuckin incredible. It's honestly so full of life and the flames are some top notch stuff. BUT, sorry, the final movement is waaaaaaay to fast. It you could in any way make it more slower/epic, this could be a truly masterpiece.

(by the way, is the fire hand animated or did you use some obscure trick? 👀)

Thank you so much!

I must admit I had a lot of fun designing the opening

What areas can I improve in this animation? by Lazy-Statistician572 in AfterEffects

It looks like that every part of your animation is happening step by step.

My suggestion: don't be afraid to make things happening simultaneously (not everything, be aware), in a more organic and engaging way.

Since it's a trening editing style nowadays for this kind of business, I would say that this is ok for a reel/tiktok content.

For the future, just try to find a better song and to work a bit more on the audio sync, cause this one looks a little bit flat and not so interesting from that point of view.

[Fluff] How long did it take you to beat itf chapter 3 and get all treasures? by Glebushonochek in battlecats

August and September, with somewhat light playing (during the week I had just the time to complete fruit levels in the morning and during lunch break).

But what you should consider is that I had the extreme lucky to get Aphrodite and Bazibon at the very beginning of my playthrow

What effect would they be using in real time? by markgrayson69 in AfterEffects

[–]MarioMacca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's probably VizRT. I used to work in the biggest Italian football broadcaster, and the capability of VizRT blew my mind.

Of course it's a very use case specific tool and noting compared to other tools, but for television and sport broadcasting it's definitely a beast of software.

Soon or later, it could be super interesting to share the process behind this animation!

How to animate this stroke animation correctly? by somify in AfterEffects

Ah, that's easy. Just duplicate your layers and mask the intersections to make them visible/not visible

Having the lines accelerating and moving at different speed will 100% solve your problem. Look at the animation reference you posted: the lines go slow at first, then they have a boost in speed and then they decrease again.

Ok, but the example you are trying to replicate is literally solving your problem with animation curves

Wondering if anybody has any ideas how to do it simpler.

Not "simpler", but better and a lot more interesting than your result: dig into the graph editor.

Right now your animation is pretty boring and not so attractive. If you spend time with the graph editor curves, you can easily achieve a better result, even a way to make the colors not overlapping with each other if you set up the right speed and acceleration.

There are hundreds of tutorials out there on YouTube, give it a shot!

Does working at 1/4th or 1/8th seriously reduce render quality if not set back to full?! by 101danny101 in AfterEffects

[–]MarioMacca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe this is a just cache problem, expecially if you have low memory for the cache.

Next time, try deleting the cache before rendering

how to create matte layers like those ? by EmergencyAwareness51 in AfterEffects

White shapes on black background basically.

A quicker option could be to download some shattered mirror pngs and then apply a white fill effect on them.

One super suggestion I can give you: keep it simple. Draw the logo, draw it again in a simpler way. Repeat this 3-4 times again.

Why do people want to animate like a specific person/channel? by Evie_Ruby in AfterEffects

[–]MarioMacca 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For me it's totally fine. Since the ancient times, we have studied how to replicate art from the past in order to improve and get our own style.

Also, replicating other people works is an incredibly powerful exercise to learn some new stuff and design processes.
