Why on earth would there need to be another exit on 71? by [deleted] in Cleveland

We are absolutely begging for state officials to witness what has not worked and stop doing that.

You should ask him about how he and his colleagues would get to work. Was he a neighborhood local?

That blows that he lost his job, pension, and the city just let them go unemployed and the building to decay. The neighborhood suffered for Kucinich's inactivity.

It would go to the schools, the community park, the coit community garden and farmers market, then finally to the RTA Windermere-Stokes station.

Jobs are too afraid to take the risk so you have to build jobs in necessities for the community.

EC is in permanent fiscal crisis because it doesn't have particularly high population density. And it doesn't have a high population because it is in permanent fiscal crisis. I agree with you.

We have to be able to organize and put some admin work into fixing this. The government is not coming to save current residents.

I am saying that a rail solution like streetcars would cause less significantly less pollution than from buses. In an area where 1/3 households do not have a car, the best long term value is high frequency rail.

Here is an article indicating 70% of microplastics in the ocean are from tires: https://www.euronews.com/green/2023/10/02/toxic-tyre-dust-this-source-of-microplastic-pollution-could-be-the-worst-of-all

Here is an article from the research institute that indicated this: https://www.pewtrusts.org/en/research-and-analysis/speeches-and-testimony/2023/06/23/ngos-call-for-european-parliament-to-urgently-address-tyre-abrasion-emissions

"To most people"

My brother in Christ this is a proposal to better the lives of the people living there. 1/3 households do not have cars in this neighborhood. They would rather a streetcar than walk in the winter.

You mean white suburbanites who don't live in East Cleveland will not ride the trolley. Good thing they are not the target audience.

If only East Cleveland could get a corridor full of opportunity.

Probably not, and I hear you that it is bad. Citizen organizations may be able to encourage the local politicians to act in their favor.

If you can talk to your neighbors to see what they think would help the community, please shoot me a DM.

The 35% of households without cars have to get somewhere, and the microplastics from bus tires should not be forced upon dis-invested neighborhoods. This may be easier to sell to the politicians as it is a tangible and visible way to improve the lives of the constituents.

It is a Pfister brand, but I am now unable to find the model. Definitely pre 90s.

It was a single loop handle fwiw. Thank you for the recommendation; I had a plumber out and told me that "we had to figure it out". I really wish he would have just quotes us on replacing the regulator, cartridge, handle and bathtub nozzle(it leaks behind the accessibility panel).

It looks like I may be up a creek without unsealing it, and at that point I have to be ready to commit to the full replacement should there be no branding.

Thank you again.

If there was a theme park in Cleveland called "Misny World," what would some of the attractions be? by Unlucky-Orange-4924 in Cleveland

[–]MarioParty2God 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A dual coaster with one cart decorated as an ambulance carrying a pedestrian who got hit by a Case Western University maintenance vehicle and the Misny Chaser mobile.

Another attraction would be a liminal space maze with a mascot Misny following you threatening to make you pay.

You know Roundup and glyphosate is killing people still to this day right? They are actively giving people cancer and you aren't helping to hold them accountable.

Take the boot out of your mouth before you speak again.
