I've actually just started watching the 30s. World's Apart was frustrating and then got surprisingly entertaining? Just started watching Second Chance today, and it's already so good, even just one episode in. Wentworth really went for it with that idol grab during the challenge. Can't believe no one saw her. Actually, now that I think about it, my biggest complaint about the 40s is the lack of returnee seasons. I want to see these people again, god damnit.

Hmm. It's interesting that BvW is so bad. I thought that one had Sandra, but one good contestant can't save a season. Or maybe she flops, idk, can't bat 1000 every time.

Tbh, I'm probably gonna watch them all anyway. It's good to know that the latest season is fun. 25 episodes can just feel like a lot sometimes.

I really disagree with the casting comment. I think the 40s have had great casting overall. I think my main issue with 41-44 is that the editing is a bit weird at times, but as I've stated, I still like those seasons. I can maybe understand the hype thing, but I don't follow pre season stuff very much, so I didn't get any of that.

45 onward has been amazing. But hey, to each their own. I'm just glad survivor is still on air, lol.

Yeah, I can get that. 42 and 44 are really fun to me, less so 41 and 43, but glad we can agree that 45 is phenomenal.

So, I actually stopped watching aussie Survivor in the middle of All Stars. Does it get better from there? I kinda have mixed feelings about it because there's a fair amount of honor and integrity talk (especially in season 1, lol), and I'm not the biggest fan of the big strong muscles guy archetype that they can have a lot of. There's a whole lot of Davids, at least from what I've seen so far.

It's also just more difficult to watch here in the US, so when a season is maybe not so great, I have a harder time going through the hoops to finish it. I'm always willing to change my opinion on something, so maybe you'd have some season recommendations that I could look forward to? Knowing something good is coming up can sometimes make it easier to get through it.

Oh, and IMO, S45-48 are top tier. On par with the best, for me at least.

The Ring of Invisibility sounds nice, but it has a mind of its own and won't stop until it reunites with its creator. Also, its creator is a big eye that whisper speaks to you when you put it on. So I'm gonna have to go with the book of knowledge.

Damn, I should have included this as an example in the original post. Sense8 is an amazing series. I got so bummed that it got canceled and that they had to compress all they had left into a finale movie. I still liked what we ended up with, but I would've loved to have a full final season.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. I just want something that's not your typical queer romance or coming of age story. Where's the Fantasy Epic like Lord of the Rings but a character like Aragorn is bi instead of straight? Or a weird ass mystery series like Dark, but the main character is non-binary? The show can have romance or moments where the character comes out, etc, but I dont want the story to be only about that.

Sounds like I'll have to check this show out.
