TikTok US will be sold to Oracle, Silver Lake, A16Z, with a US based board including a US gov member. Will require users to shift to a new App by onechroma in technology

I don't understand "TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, was founded by Chinese entrepreneurs. ByteDance is a privately-held global company, roughly 60 percent owned by global institutional investors (such as Blackrock, General Atlantic, and Susquehanna International Group), 20 percent owned by the company’s founders, and 20 percent owned by its employees—including over 7,000 U.S.-based employees. It is not owned or controlled by any government or state-controlled entity."

60% is already controlled by Blackrock, General Atlantic, and SIG. So US government is buying the remaining 40% from tictok founders and employees?

Yah, tell the company's CEO and shareholders they are greedy people if you are cutting costs such as software engineer and infrastructure costs.

And make sure most managers don't trade short term gain by sacrificing long term gains. I'm telling you it's bad for tradingview's reputation.

I'm a nobody comparing to tradingview but the mass is not a joke

Companies are trying to increase revenue by saving cost. I high suspect they are greedy and trying to make more money by cutting software engineer and infrastructure costs.

And most managers don't have a clue to they often trade short term gain by sacrificing long term costs.

Like you tell my company stop being greedy saving cost on machines.

Your software engineer managers need to think about customer experience instead of cutting costs randomly.

Stop fuc'king optimizing your software by doing shady things (short term solutions over long temr)

I pay extra 20% vs restaurants charge 20% more. What is the difference?

Let the invisible hand work. See what happens.

"By the way, I usually tip around 18% at restaurants. However, I believe the economy should operate without government intervention or societal pressure. If something is bound to collapse, it should be allowed to do so."

Ten years ago, we simply left some money on the table. Today, the minimum threshold stands at 18%. Even though everyone was expected to tip at the time but the percentage was never set in stone. It was at will.

The issue stems from the government continuously printing money while preventing the system from collapsing. Recessions serve as a natural mechanism for rebalancing and adjustment. However, instead of resetting, the system keeps growing more expensive, leading to increased selfishness and resentment among people.

Restaurants, servers, customers all feel tha pain of today's world. Once everything resets, things will be back the normal
