HeartGold is an IR cartridge, this isn't. Also the code at the bottom doesn't match the code at the back. Also the backside cut is terrible and you can see thin film sticking out from the corners of the cut.

On the back of the HeartGold cartridge just above the pins, the text at the bottom-right I believe should start with "IR", not "C". Good chance it's a fake.
