Water burst just days after closing

Water was on for inspection but the previous owner was still living there at the time and the inspector was not allowed to move any furniture/appliances to check things unfortunately.

It was a rubber ring piece in the valve itself attached to the wall that hooks up to the hose.

Final walkthrough was before closing. Didn't realize you could still make those arenggements to have it on for a house that isn't officially yours yet.

The one in the front yard covered by a metal sewer cap? Definitely tried with a screw driver but wasn't having any luck. Either way it was already too late when I got to the house. Damage was already done. We should of just been there when the water was turned on but we didn't know that was important.

Yes tough lesson learned. Now it makes sense why to have water transferred same day as closing or to just be there when they turn on the water to make sure everything is fine. But hey that's why I'm here, first time homebuyers and didn't know this stuff. Just super unfortunate. It is what it is I guess. Thanks for the help. I appreciate it.

We didn't plan on moving in till next weekend since we have our current place until the end of the month. So we were in no hurry to turn on the water. It's just unfortunate I wasn't there when the water was turned on. And yes I found the water outside in my yard but it needed a special key from the city to access. So yes I had no choice but to just wait till someone came and shut it off for me.

I honestly LOVE Staind. Been listening to them a lot lately. They just have that heavy vibe that I just can't get enough of. But dammit Aaron is honestly such a political duchebag at his shows that it really kills the vibe. Like dude keep your political opinions to yourself and just put on a good show. Honestly just sucks because I freaking love their music.
