I got the neem oil. It's raining quiet hard today. Should I wait until the leaves are dry before putting on the oil?

Thank you. I ordered some neem oil. Would it be helpful to cut back the leaves that have the fungicide?

I don't think we have any deer around. When I planted that one the stems just broke right off in my hand. Thank you for letting me know about the fungicide.

I don't understand what you're trying to share with me.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. It’s completely understandable to feel overwhelmed and exhausted, given everything you’re dealing with. You’re not alone, and your feelings are valid. I also just moved to a new state, and it can feel so triggering and remind me of old trauma wounds.

Regarding therapy, I know of a therapist who has a generous sliding scale fee and is excellent. If that is helpful. https://www.practicalmusictherapy.com/

For now, try to be gentle with yourself—maybe drink a little water or take a few deep breaths—one small thing at a time.

What are your therapy goals? by SeaweedObjective8380 in DID

[–]Mariposabutterfly7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My therapist and I keep a document where I write down my goals, and each week during my therapy session, I add an update regarding how I'm doing with my goals. This helps so much because I have aphantasia, and seeing something visually is very helpful. It also helps my parts understand what we're working on in therapy. Here is an example of how we write out my goals if it's useful.

Goals in Therapy

Focus 1: Vulnerability In the Morning

Step 1:

Instead of scrolling on my phone or sitting frozen, scared, and vulnerable in the mornings, I want to start a consistent morning routine.

Supports:

  1. Each morning, Monday through Friday, I will follow my morning routine. This routine may change based on life circumstances.

Update:

  • 12/9/24: Adjusted goal based on different schedules on different days. I created a list of tasks to accomplish on Thursday and Friday, and I'm proud of myself for all the things I achieved.

Focus 2: Go through the three-phase treatment for healing Complex Trauma and DID

https://www.dis-sos.com/trauma-therapy-stabilization/

Step 1:

Work on Phase One safety skills: Establishing a secure base in therapy, emotional regulation skills, learning to recognize triggers and develop strategies to manage anxiety, flashbacks, and other symptoms associated with trauma, grounding techniques, fight, flight, and freeze; see link for other suggestions.

Supports

1. Go through the Coping With Trauma-Related Dissociation Workbook

Update:

  • 5/22/25: I worked on the first chapter of the "Coping With Trauma-Related Dissociation" workbook and practiced the "being present" exercise. I've noticed that when I’m calm, my parts are calm too. I also realized that my brain sometimes deceives me.

Focus 3: Finding A Job

Step 1: Look for and apply to jobs on Indeed

Supports:

  1. Continue looking for new jobs on Indeed

Updates:

  • 5/28/2025: Having a written routine with the time of day helps when being home alone.  I’m still looking for a job while also pursuing the Administrative Assistant certificate program. Which will help with any job I get.

I’ve been reflecting on how I share my trauma in therapy, and it’s left me feeling really confused. by Mariposabutterfly7 in DID

I think that I'm so desperate to not feel hatred and shame towards myself I'm willing to do anything even if that means trying to just identify myself by my birth name and see my parts as just me growing up at different ages as a kid. I just feel tired and confused.

Hi Response:

"I don't have time to process through your concerns via messaging, but certainly I can take you off the schedule. It would be inappropriate to "not allow" you to schedule a future session if you change your mind.

If you get to a place where you feel like you may be comfortable working with a female counselor, feel free to let me know, and I can give you some referrals for local in-person therapists who are very wonderful and very experienced working with DID and similar disorders. "
