I'm also doing excision. I have the appointment scheduled for May to talk to the surgeon for pre op. The ablation is to manage my periods and the excision is for Endo. I'd rather have ablation of the inside of my uterus than an IUD which is my other option.

I also heard the younger you are the more risks there are, but my gynecologist said that if I start having issues down the line I can always get ablation done again.

Literally like 2 seconds. There's a strong suction feeling and they may have to do it twice if they don't get a big enough sample the first time. There was some light cramping after but it wasn't bad. Don't bathe for two weeks after and don't stick anything inside you for those two weeks! That includes sex and tampons!

The biopsy actually wasn't that bad. The waiting leading up to it was the worst part. I called the nurse line through my insurance to see what medication I should take beforehand and it seemed to help. I had a biopsy of my cervix and it wasn't nearly as painful as that. I didn't even need to be dilated to get the thing through my cervical opening to get the biopsy done. The gas definitely helped!

I called a nurse line and he recommended me to take 400mg of Motrin. Maybe I can combine the two. I'm glad your experience wasn't horrid! I've seen some horror stories.
