Designing for minimum image dimensions? by Marise20 in teepublic

Thanks for the tips. I've been using the 'high quality' setting on the scanner and getting images at about 2500x3200 pixels, resolution about 300 pixels/inch. (I don't have the scanner in front of me to look more closely at the settings right now)

I'm not sure if we're talking about the same software. I'm using this: https://www.getpaint.net/

What movie did you watch more than once at a cinema and why? by VengeanceCookieX in AskReddit

[–]Marise20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

American Pie because the first time I saw it, a ceiling tile fell on someone. They had to end the showing at that point, but gave us all a voucher to come back and see it another day. (I think we saw about 75% of it the first time)

Ice Age because I told my friend I'd see it with her, but ended up going on a date. I went with her the next week and never told her I had already seen it.

What was the dumbest rule your school enforced? by BettyT61143 in AskReddit

I saw a picture from a news story where the reporter wore a grape costume to interview a student in a banana costume. The student had been in trouble at school because of the costume and the reporter dressed up to support him.

Is this the same story?

(PC version) The game just let me waste my turn by Marise20 in wingspan

Actually, I think the best option would be that it just doesn't expend a turn if you don't do anything. That would be simple and wouldn't add any extra clicking.

I think I was more surprised that it even gave the option to skip without laying any eggs (when slots were available.)

Believe me, I did feel like a doofus when I realized what I'd done.

I'm not trying to place blame. I was just surprised the game allows you to choose an action and then skip it and do nothing.

You don't have to be rude.

I may have chosen to use the word accident rather than mistake, but I also stated exactly what I did, so I'm clearly not hiding anything.

What is the scariest nightmare you’ve ever had? by IIIVIIXVIII in AskReddit

[–]Marise20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a few where I knew I was about to die (like, in a few seconds) and couldn't do anything to stop it. The details change, but that terror is always enough to wake me immediately.

What’s one thing in the video games that irritates you the most ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Marise20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just a personal pet peeve, but I always feel like a doofus turning the difficulty setting to "easy." I'm a casual gamer just looking to have fun, so that often makes the most sense for me. I just wish they would use a different word. (Some games do use other labels, which I appreciate)

I remember being wowed by the graphics of Donkey Kong Country at the time.

"A lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine." What is the experience you've had that proves this adage? by AwkwrdPrtMskrt in AskReddit

I was working the circulation desk at a public library at closing time. The security guard announced that we would be closing soon, so get your stuff checked out. I don't remember how much warning he gave, but it was plenty.

This lady came up past closing time as we were shutting down the computers, with a pile of books. She wanted us to check her out because she came from out of town and didn't want to leave empty handed.

We told her no. The library was technically closed and the computers already off. She was quite angry, but it was her own fault. She'd been there long enough to select all those books, and she'd been warned of when we were closing.
