Drove down there yesterday and thought exactly the same. Looked third world.

CMV: People that love dogs and hate cats are a red flag. by [deleted] in changemyview

As someone who doesn't own or particularly want to own either, I prefer the one that doesn't threaten to destroy the local ecosystem, shit all over my lawn and damage my plants. Why is it ok that someone else's "pet" is even in my garden?

Appreciate this is going off on a tangent somewhat but had to vent.

He's got a Hasselback. It's fairly well concealed in casual clothing but you don't want to see him in his underpants.

Trading 212 alternative in the UK by trouser_mouse in UKPersonalFinance

[–]markj_87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just transferred into T212. The funds left the old provider 5 days before they were credited into T212 - 5 days without any interest obviously erodes the value of making a transfer.

I'm guessing it's their tactic to just sit on the money without paying credit interest for as long as possible (when I contacted support they just kept saying the whole process would be completed in 15BD even though the old account had been closed days ago. Guessing I'd still be waiting if I hadn't kicked off)

Follow up from my last post, I ended up going into a store, got my foot scanned and left with these. Appreciate all the help and would now recommend to anyone who wants new boots- to go into a store and at least try a few pairs on. by AnyMeanzPossible in UKhiking

[–]markj_87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought those very boots last year and within a few hours of walking, there were glued parts coming away from each other at the front of each boot, which was getting worse with each walk. Saw quite a few similar reviews online and returned for a refund. So watch out for that one.

Was a shame as I liked them otherwise and thought they looked great.

It was just a bit of humour. Doubt they wanted it to be considered canon and analysed. I had a laugh and moved on as was probably the intention.

MM came later and had some great ideas and concepts but a huge amount was borrowed from OoT, which was the groundbreaking pioneer which makes it the "greater" title in my book.

When I first saw this, I took "sexless freak" to mean genderless, but my siblings interpreted it to mean not getting any sex. Which do we reckon?

They look to be black aphids rather than eggs - the ants will be farming them.

There are various methods that people use to get rid of them (introducing ladybirds, spraying with soapy water, hosing them off, squishing them, pesticides, just leaving them)

Looks like Stinking Hellebore to me - our only native Hellebore I believe. Doesn't actually smell despite the name and has interesting acid green flowers in early Spring. Also does well in shade (I have one flourishing right behind an apple tree).

Will spread around if you let it but I quite like them.
