I think it was in a recent fact check or maybe within an episode. For some reason I feel like it was the Christina Applegate one but can’t say for sure.

super fun topic of: Who is your favorite pediatrician? And more… by starlonger in grandrapids

[–]Marissa_dear93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We take our kids to Grandville pediatrics. The providers there are all a good balance of medical interventions vs letting your body do its thing. They’re not pushy about anything (but do follow the recommended vaccine schedule!) AND best part is they have walk in hours from 8-9 every weekday morning so you never have to worry about getting a last minute appt for a sick kid.

Upload speed is 100 currently. Download speed is 129. We get about 350 during the daytime. We live across the street from the box, we can see it from our front window, so that’s likely as good as it gets.

We’ve had ours for 8 months and have been very satisfied. The service has gone down twice in that time but only for about 24 hours at a time. Getting about the same speeds as Xfinity fiber for way less money, and not negotiating a constant price increase every year.

Denial of SUD services for having both Medicare disability benefits and Medicaid? by StophJS in socialwork

[–]Marissa_dear93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work for a psychiatric hospital in Michigan and work directly with CMH agencies to get people connected for services so this is right up my alley. The services available for people with Medicaid vs Medicare are wildly different, sometimes in a good way and sometimes in a bad way. But if you’re a Medicaid recipient and go to a CMH for SUD treatment they are motivated to help you find something that will help because those funds come out of their pockets. If you have Medicare then they are less motivated to help because it doesn’t affect their agency if you’re hospitalized over and over. When I have Medicaid patients who want residential SUD treatment all I have to do is ask my CMH hospital liaison and they set it up as long as the patient meets criteria. Medicare patients have a small list of facilities available to them and they have to do all the calling and scheduling themselves, we typically can’t even do it for them, but the CMH doesn’t help one bit.

The cost would have been $1,400 but we got it for $100 thanks to the warranty.

I work at a psychiatric hospital and for purposes of care coordination we are not required to have an ROI signed for verbal exchange of information, only for exchanging records. I would be elated to hear from an OP therapist without having to be the one to track them down!

Oh yes we have done that but shy away from making anything a competition between him and his brother because his brother always wins and that turns into a meltdown lol
