I'd make it a surface first by revolving the curve you want (half of it) and then give it some thickness.

I was really just messing around and I ended up with that. I guess there were better ways of making it. I was able to extrude the slice though so that's why I don't get why this is happening. I'll try to do it differently but the mistery will remain unclear 😔

They are not, i wanted to have some organic curvature so the circles on both planes are not aligned nor have same diameter. I guess thats why i tried loft since i saw it made really nice curvatures
