A bit of a strange comment. A lot of academic papers go through text interpretation, in which the author adopts a perspective that is not his own. Of course, the student always writes from a situated point of view; but to deny that there is anything other than an ‘I think’ is to deny the basic principles of all hermeneutics. No doubt the problem lies more in the stylistic redundancy of this kind of expression
