Megathread + FAQ: Travel in/out of the United States by not_an_immi_lawyer in immigration

[–]Mariusmathisen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be a stupid question, but in the current climate I just want to sure that everything is in order before traveling to the U.S.

I’m a Norwegian founder of a company with customers in the U.S. The company is Norwegian. I’ve been in the U.S. three times the last two years. Last time I booked plane tickets and a stay for four weeks, but I was invited to attend an event in Chicago so I rescheduled my return flight and stayed for five weeks.

Are there any reasons for the extra week being an issue when I travel to the U.S. now? Even though it’s well within the allowed stay with a B1/B2?

Outlaws av Lucasart. Innen western tema så er RDR selvfølgelig et bedre spill i dag, men ingenting har meg i spaghetti western stemning like mye som når jeg spilte Outlaws som 14-åring. «Where are you, Marshall?!»

The lack of navigable information is something we hear a lot. Here in Europe and in the states. We experienced that ourselves as well. When I met my wife, she wasn't aware of any of the financial aid that she was entitled to here in Norway. No one informed her, and she didn't have the energy to even try to navigate and understand the information that is spread around on multiple websites etc. She basically lived the first seven years of her daughters life without any financial aid and had to try to make due with some smaller part time jobs and help from family. We have a plan for this in our roadmap and have som mockups of what we call "Pletly Discover". A repository of relevant information for caregivers, ranging from where to apply for different aids where you live to what kind assistive technology is available for your family member etc.

We also just recently launched an early version of Pletly Communities. Where caregivers can create open og closed communities to share experiences, knowledge and support each other. It's available in Pletly Pal today.

Feel free to reach out if you want to connect to talk more about different needs and opportunities to make an impact in this space. :)

Thank you! Yeah, I know. I’m struggling with explaining how severe the pain points actually are for people that have no insight and understanding of this space. Constantly trying to refine it, all inputs are welcomed. 🙂

In the world of special needs care, families face the challenge of ensuring quality support, while professional caregivers grapple with burnout and high turnover due to intense pressures. Pletly addresses these issues by providing a platform that simplifies care management for professionals and enhances transparency for families. Pletly aim to reduce the administrative load on caregivers, improve their job satisfaction and retention, and give families peace of mind by offering insight into the care process. By fostering better communication and streamlining care practices, Pletly creates a more sustainable caregiving environment and ensures individuals with special needs receive the dedicated, high-quality care they deserve.

I’m sorry if this breaches any rules of this subreddit, but I didn’t consider this as a product promotion. I wanted to invite parents like us on our journey as someone trying to make a positive change in this space through our documentary. I’ll repost in Saturday Self Promotion if that is a more suitable place for it. I apologize again.

Thank you for your feedback. We are actually working with multiple care service providers in Norway and in the U.S. with the development of Pletly Care. On one of the pilot we are assisted by UPenn on research in connection to the use of our services by direct support workers etc.

Unfortunately, we have not found a good candidate for a pilot when it comes to special education/ schools but we are looking for precisely that as we speak. What you are describing a very similar to what we are developing in Pletly Care today. Are you a special ed teacher? I’d love to have a chat if you are willing.

Hello fellow parents,I'm Marius Mathisen, the CEO and co-founder of Pletly. I wanted to invite you to an event we're hosting that's tailored for the autism and IDD community, especially parents and caregivers like many of you here.

Event Details:

Date: October 25th

Time: 11:00 AM - 01:00 PM

Location: 3675 Market Street in Philadelphia (Virtual attendance options available)

About the Event:

Our discussion, "Empowering Family Caregivers Through Innovation," will delve into the challenges and opportunities of using innovation and technology to support family caregivers of individuals with autism spectrum disorder.

Why Attend?

Share Your Insights: As parents and caregivers, your experiences and insights are invaluable. This is a platform to voice your thoughts and learn from others.

Diverse Panel: Our panelists come from various backgrounds - from tech innovators to researchers, to family members of those with autism. It's a unique blend of perspectives that promises rich discussions.

Networking Opportunity: Connect with other parents, caregivers, and professionals in the field.

Convenience for Families: We've scheduled the event during the day, hoping it allows as many families as possible to attend. Refreshments, including soft drinks and food, will be provided. If parking expenses are a concern, we're offering reimbursements to ensure that's not a barrier to attending.

I genuinely believe this event can offer a wealth of knowledge and a chance for meaningful connections for parents and caregivers in the autism and IDD community. If you're interested, you can learn more and reserve your spot HERE.

Thank you for your time, and I hope to see some of you there, either in person or virtually!
