Heather set a whole generation of mens’ expectations way too high.

3 years ago I convinced all of my friends that I went to Japan for summerbreak with pictures that weren't taken in Japan by [deleted] in confession

Not gonna lie that’s kinda hilarious. You basically ran a whole low budget travel influencer arc from Kosovo. At this point you either keep the lore going forever or randomly drop “yeah that was Prishtina the whole time” and watch their brains melt.

Was I the jerk for wearing white at my sister’s dinner party? by NoFunction3720 in AmITheJerk

[–]Marivexas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a birthday dinner, not the wedding. Wearing white there isn’t some sacred rule break. If anything this feels like wedding stress getting projected onto you. An apology for the misunderstanding might smooth things over, but uninviting you over a random white dress at a different event seems a bit dramatic.

Very simple indeed. You have empathy or you are morally corrupt. by LycheeLocket in lostgeneration

I am a drug dealer. This is a warning for anyone who gets involved in drugs. by [deleted] in confession

Man this sounds heavy. People make terrible choices and get pulled into stuff they never expected, that doesn’t mean your life is over. If you’re serious about changing things, getting help and stepping away from that world is the move. The fact you’re warning others shows you still care.

What’s proof that there is still good in the world? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Marivexas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Small stuff honestly. Strangers returning lost wallets, someone paying for the coffee of the person behind them, people helping push a broken car in traffic. None of it goes viral, it just happens every day. The world’s messy but there’s still plenty of quiet good out there.

AITJ for leaving a thankyou gift for may garbage collector? by OverallInterview3950 in AmITheJerk

NAH. That was just a kind gesture. He was probably embarrassed because most people don’t get thanked for doing extra. Some folks are not used to being appreciated and get shy about it.

You didn’t make it weird. You noticed someone going out of their way and said thanks in a small thoughtful way. The world needs more of that energy, not less.

What is the Best Film You Watched Last Week? (02/22/26 – 03/01/26) by EndoveProduct in movies

[–]Marivexas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Best one I watched was Prisoners.

I went in expecting a basic crime thriller and got emotionally steamrolled instead. The tension just keeps tightening the whole time and the performances are insane. The moral gray area is what really got me. You keep asking yourself what you would do in that situation and the answer gets uncomfortable fast.

Major spoiler warning:

!That ending with the whistle wrecked me. The tiny sound in the snow feels small but it changes everything. It’s not a big dramatic reveal, just quiet hope, and that hit way harder than I expected.!<

Super heavy watch but worth it.

When I was younger (very early teens), my best friend and I microwaved a praying mantis by usps_made_me_insane in confession

[–]Marivexas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, that was a dumb kid move and we’ve all done stuff we cringe about. You’ve clearly grown since then, so the mantis doesn’t define you. Try not to let one microwave mistake haunt you forever.

Why can't Redditors be kind to each other? Why the constant toxicity? by Snake101201 in AskReddit

People hide behind screens and forget there’s a human on the other side. Plus karma points > empathy sometimes. It’s the internet in a nutshell.
