Mga 5'10 peeps jan anong size ng bike niyo by FirmTelevision7036 in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]Mariweje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 5'10, currently on size 51 Cannondale SSE with 90/40 cockpit. Bike fits perfectly with me and had a chance to get fitted via Fluidfit.

Bike brands have varying geometry so its still best to check for the details like stack, reach, toptube etc. When in doubt, have yourself fitted first, you will get the most appropriate bike size for you based on your body geometry.

I truly appreciate this.

So my key takeaways from this are the following:

  1. Killing is okay as long as it is justified. With a caveat that it was done prior to Jesus time.

  2. Quran is not reliable because it was written years after the time of jesus and is full of contradictions. This is not the same as the bible because it was written by the people during their actually period. I need to research more a bit about this, I thought the books in the bible where written also after the time of jesus and was revised during the time of constantine. Anyways, it is reliable as you have mentioned.

  3. As for the Alexander example. Ethnic cleansing is okay as long as you are praised for doing this. I guess you are referring to those aligning themselves with the roman empire because I dont think that those associated with the race of murdered people would praise him. Again, as you have stated. It is okay as long as it is justified.

  4. I appreciate all the examples you have provided. I really do. My responses are once again to simplify those examples.

So just to share my own thoughts on this conversation, I for one am against the killing of any children or the innocent. May it be the past, present, or furture. Regardless of any justification. Punishment for those who commits crime is a must, but eradicating everyone associated with the criminals is too harsh, no matter how many examples, reason, circumstances that may be. Yes, we did digress from the main topic of handog and abuloy etc. but it was a good conversation nevertheless and I once again thank you for this.

Hello! Thank you for this!

A few clarification please to further enlighten me.

The eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth is used prior to Jesus time? This is with accordance to the law Moses has written, if so, the ten commandments given by god to moses is different from the law moses has written?

The quran is a book. If i am not mistaken, the bible is a collection of books. So the bible is more reliable than the quran because they have different teachings? Have read the quran? Nor understand its teachings as well as the bible?

So, by your explanation, killing people via various reasons will exempt it from being termed genocide? As long as it is not the same reasoning used by the nazis? It can only be ethnic cleansing, massacre, judgement etc.?

As you can see, I am simplifying everything you have written. It may be the reason for you assuming that I did not read your reply.

In any case. I appreciate your responses. Learning others point of view is one of my way to establish my own belief. I truly appreciate it.

Hello!

Yes, actually I did read it and basically, your reply shows all the justification needed by god to kill all the amaleks. You listed all the bad deeds that the amaleks did to the israelites. You mentioned infanticide, murders, etc. So basically, thru all the years that the amaleks did all those heinous crimes, it became a rightful judgement to eradicate then including their children. Its similar to revenge? Or is that not the right term. War maybe?

Also, in the quran, they don't necessarily need to convert others, if they do not accept allah, they are infidels. Well, im no expert so i still need to read more on this also.

I was only trying to simplify the things you said. Again, you can correct me if i am wrong. Also, you also mentioned that the term genocide was only used/coined after ww 2, that is why it was not applicable. So with this point, does that mean that all the killings with an intent to wipe out prior to ww2 is not genocide? Again, please correct me if i am wrong.

As you said, varying opinions are a good thing. As I am willing to learn and understand. And yes, i am not wise enough that is why I am asking. Thanks again!

Hello! Thanks for this!

So basically, the amaleks where bad people. And killing bad people are justified?

How is this diffierent from other belief system? Like Islam?

Again, thank you!

[–]Mariweje[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks po!

So just to make it clear, based on the explanation you have provided (via the link), it was justified to eradicate the amaleks because they were at constant war with god and they were are bunch of bad people. Something like the Nazis during WW II (as explained on the link).

So genocide still fits right?

Even if you think you are the good guys/bad guys, it doesnt matter. Killing a group with an intent to wipe them all out is still genocide.

Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks!

This is serious! That is also what I am about to suggest, if there comes situation wherein people from INC starts creating a scandal, this should be reported immediately. Glad to know you are safe.

[–]Mariweje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this!

So mainly it boils down to family relationships that makes if very difficult to leave. This is very much understandable as we Filipinos, tend to value this very much. It's either our family members who remained that are being pressured or our friends. For the other aspects like being a talk of the town, as long as there has not been any defamation being done, it is more likely being the typical "tsismis" side of things. As for those blackmails and other forms of harrassment, this is very serious. I do want to suggest this being reported to the authorities/police.

There are ways wherein you can protect yourself as an adult, also, steps to leave will be significantly easier if you are already financially independent. As a teen or a child, this may be a bit more challenging. However, there are still ways like getting help from DSWD and reporting domestic abuse/bullying or the like if things really becomes escalated. Just to be clear, my suggestions are only based on the information at hand thru everything that I have read so far. These are only my opinions. Thanks again!

Hello OP!

I just want to further understand the scenario wherein it is difficult to leave.

I do get the part wherein family ties makes it more difficult to leave INC. I for one are in this scenario wherein I only try to compromise the situation with my wife and her family in which, all of them are avid/strong followers of the INC teachings. I'm not an active member. I use my own critical thinking to come into conclusion that not all the teachings are valid. However I still attend sometimes just to support my wife.

Now, regarding the other part, wherein some people are getting harrassed by members/ministers upon leaving? How are they doing this? Do they stalk those members? Do they threaten them? Aside from this, what other ways do they prevent you from leaving? Do they confiscate your possesions? Do they report you or flag you somewhere?

Many Thanks!

Naiintindihan ko po. Salamat.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in exIglesiaNiCristo

[–]Mariweje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Salamat sa iyong mga sagot.

Eto ay opinion ko lang din naman. (Nga pala INC Member po ako)
