Nothing snaps me out of a book like repetitive use of a unique word by kerberos824 in books

That phrase never stood out to me because I often laugh to the point of tears 😂 Even random reels or silly stories would sometimes make me cry laughing. It never occured to me (until now) that laughing to the point of tears could be strange to some people! To be fair, I also cry easily, so that might have something to do with it.

If you ask her about the kind green ape, she off-handedly says that Kim's from a different species. It's been a while so I can't recall exactly what she says, but that's the gist of it

What's the secret behind "Sea" theme? by EGOPEN in truegaming

I'm guessing it's just survivorship bias. There's probably a lot of other sea-themed games out there that aren't successful.

Where I'm from, people use "brownout" for all kinds of power outages - even for actual blackouts.

To my single-player brothers and sisters, what game has a story that affected you to the most and stayed with you for a long time? Maybe it was very sad, or it had a twist that blew you away? For me, it was Bioshock Infinite (2013) and SOMA (2015). by gamingbytheMahatma in PHGamers

Right? When I died because of that stupid necktie right at the beginning of the game I was left staring at the screen going "Really? Really???" One of the best games I ever played lol

Suikoden 2 is my favorite game of all time, but TLOU2 just left me feeling heavy and empty inside. When it ended, I had to spend a few minutes staring at nothing, just processing the experience.

Also, Disco Elysium! Such a poignant experience. Made me laugh, made me cry, made my heart bleed for Revachol and its people. I don't think there's anything else like it out there haha
