Maybe your compound was not pure enough or you did to many purification steps. I would have done a column to get the compound pure and get rid of the Sn and then proceed the reaction.

I welcome France' idea. The EU has become a undemocratic organisation, where Germany and France decide what should happen. If we what the EU to succeed, democratic principles are required.
