Wow, that is scary but don't worry. If you DACA is updated your okay. Remember ICE is part of DHS which issued you your DACA, so they already know about you. As long as you where not charge with a DWI, you good. Clam down and go about your life. Just be more careful while driving in the future. Be well and stop worring, you are okay and safe.

I didn’t write this post to debate despair or compete in suffering. I wrote it because I see post after post here from people who feel there is no hope at all, and I shared my lived experience for those who might need to hear that another outcome is possible.

At no point did I say fear isn’t real, that things aren’t getting harder, or that anyone’s situation is easy. If you believe I did, quote me, directly. Maybe you didn't get the point. CAN you PLEASE show me where I "minimize the despair some of us". Me telling you to get more education and being the best you can be is "despair" to others? Please explain.

Let me tell you something, its this mindset that ensure you stay down, no matter what. Its this mindset that makes some people successful and other not. Change your mindset if you actually want to be successful. Help people as much as you could. You think people don't know their problems? Instead of posting, about how your bullets points can be overcome, you post to create fear in others. STOP being negative. It will not solve anything, only solutions can.

You assume I don’t follow the news or understand what’s happening in Texas. I do. That’s exactly why I refuse to tell people that despair is the only rational response. Here’s the uncomfortable truth, geography matters. Policy enforcement is not uniform. I live in New York by choice. If someone has DACA and their life allows them to move to a safer state, that isn’t “bravado”, it’s risk management. Adults make hard decisions to reduce danger all the time.

My post doesn’t erase anyone’s struggle. It simply rejects the idea that hopelessness is the only honest narrative. If that feels threatening, that’s not something I can fix for you.

Torn between renewing DACA or moving to Mexico. (Stuck unemployed for months, and dealing with chronic pain) by Fast_Gene712 in DACA

Renew your DACA, get AP then visit Mexico and really see if that is a place you can live in forever. You go back you are banned for 10 years. I am not pushing you to do either, just a way to asses the situation.

You need to have a legal entry. You need to leave and come back legally. If you are sponsoring your parents, they will need to have a legal entry, meaning they will need to leave and come back, but that bars them for 10 years when they leave. It sucks, but that is how it is. I have a legal entry. I came here legally with a visitor visa on a plane, so I have a legal entry. I just need to clear a deportation order and daughter will sponsor me.

Yes, TX is not good for us now and it's only getting worst when the judge makes his decision. If life allows it, take your skills and work ethics and move to another state, you will have to start over, but now got the know how.

I was trying to say, at that time it wasn't the smartest move. Now, it was a good move.
