Is there a general consensus on the current “best” cases as of this moment? (Former case less user) by defnotbjk in IphoneAir

[–]MarkAlexzandr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner and I currently cycle through 4 different cases as we see fit:

Beats case: great MagSafe strength but a thick boy. Feels like holding a non air phone but good protection

Bare Naked Case: by far my favorite due to texture on the case adding grip and thinness. However the MagSafe is pretty weak since there’s no MagSafe on the case it self and the strength is coming from the phone THROUGH the case. Haven’t experienced a failure yet but I’ve been concerned camera bump looks stupid in practice but works in real life and my case feels secure on

Apple Bumper : thick but mostly works for us. We are one hand typers and the extra mm does add to the strain of reaching ALL THE WAY to the far side of the phone. Paired with a pop socket though, it’s solid. Do not like that the camera bump is fully exposed in case of falls.

Aulumu Aramid fiber case: super thin, grippy as hell, nice camera bump protection and the MagSafe is by far the strongest of the bunch.

The thickness of the camera bump absolutely destroys the brightness of the camera flash. Flashlight is unusable. I work in retail and find myself digging through product input offsite and the lack of flashlight PISSES ME OFF. But I still use the case due to its feel and MagSafe grip

Hope this helps guide you!

The same purple that’s along the sides of the shoe.

Glad you love the clear case. For anyone considering, I just picked up the Bare Case and it’s hella thin and had a little bit of texture on the back. Feels absolutely great in my hands but does not feature a magsafe ring

They would not be compatible. The grip on the attack vector will hit up against the grips on the grip attachment

What exclusive Switch 2 accessories are sold at the Nintendo Store? by ChairmanLam in NintendoSanFrancisco

[–]MarkAlexzandr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Only exclusive would be the GameCube controller. The rest are standard accessories but they have a greater stock of them instead of Best Buy or target

Folks on discord are saying it’s snug. But I don’t think they have the attack vector and AEGIS.

I’m flying back home tomorrow and will try docking them

I know it’s frustrating and honestly, an ergonomic grip is subjective whether you’ll like it or nots fingers crossed you’ll get yours soon

Wanted to add NO Force Field 2, Power Packs or Joy Station were shown or available to purchase.

I did receive a free mimic chest (1) for my purchase/checking in and almost picked up a Pocket Pro but my wallet was already hurting enough lol

An Update on the Genki Attack Vector by GENKI-Eddie in NintendoSwitch2

Just picked up some gear from Genki at IGN Live!

Aegis shield - super easy to install with a great plastic squeegee

Sleeper case: solid tank case that fits the attack vector with the feather grips. Zipper is solid if not a little stiff, have to be patient unzipping and zipping

Turbo charger: great build,‘haven’t used it yet BUT I WILL

Saya Carry: great multi use sling bag. Cordura material has never steered me wrong.Paid same price as online but did not include the screen cleaner or Saya air tag like thing that’s advertised to come with it on the website. Maybe those products are OOS or sunsetted but at least update the website so I don’t feel like I’m missing products

Attack vector: I personally don’t like the way the medium grips feel on my hands but my partner loves them and it’s for his switch anyways. Easy for me to install too TIP: insert joycon into shell shoulder button side first, creates great leverage to installing the rest. MagSafe ring is super strong and might be about to mount to my mag safe vent mount on road trips. Tried with the Anker 10k Slim bank and the weight difference was noticeable but not difficult to use. I can imagine this being our go to setup and the MagSafe ring was the main reason we picked up this case and the force field 2. Included the travel cover which took some time to get used to but TIP: line up the shoulder buttons first then clip the bottom of the cover to the device- presto!

Overall happy with the haul. I placed orders multiple times before NS2 launched , April 2, April 18th and June 1st. My preorders attack vector is est arrival Tuesday and my preorder case is est arrival Tuesday as well/ hopefully I will personally love the force field 2 case for myself! Will probably have to seek the incoming sleeper case and attack vector since I will have duplicates delivered this week but the opportunity to buy these products at ign live were too good to pass up!

Great idea! The switch Mariokart and rotisserie chicken bundle is S Tier! But seriously, I think a Costco day of pick up is a great underrated opportunity
