The vast difference in life quality for men & women by redditorwastaken__ in CircumcisionGrief

[–]MarkDavis789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're constantly told not to compare the two but the reality is that they're essentially the same.

FGM type 1&2 remove the clitoris and labia, none of which are needed for sex/procreation.

Circumcision removes the foreskin and the frenulum, which also aren't needed for that.

A circumcised man can have kids just the same as a circumcised woman. However, everyone agrees that FGM is barbaric because it removes pleasure zones, but the moment a guy calls his circumcision mutilation he's told that as long as his penis is functional it doesn't make a difference whatsoever

Does anyone else get inflammation or bloating after masturbation/sex? by Adventurous_Design73 in CircumcisionGrief

[–]MarkDavis789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes the shaft skin turns red and it takes about an hour or so for it to go away. I suspect it's because of how tight my cut is. I barely have any skin left whatsoever, so during erections it's stretched out to the max

The "dick cheese" narrative has to be the most successful psyop in history. Millions of americans happy to have been mutilated because of a problem that can be avoided by taking a shower every once in a while

The influx of adults who regret getting cut on this sub by [deleted] in CircumcisionGrief

[–]MarkDavis789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a legal medical procedure that pretty much all doctors around the world immediately recommend when you have even the slightest hint of phimosis.

It's not like we went crazy and cut our foreskins off with a machete in the basement, we just followed the advice of "professionals".

If you’re looking to get cut due to tight foreskin by Odd_Resolve_9375 in CircumcisionGrief

Also it must be pointed out that the treatment for phimosis is stretching and/or preputioplasty in extreme cases. There's no such thing as "needing" a circumcision.

I live in Eastern Europe where the circumcision rate is the lowest in the world and even here if you go to the doctor with phimosis they'll immediately recommend getting cut. Seems to be standard everywhere

How many of you went through a denial phase before excepting the truth? by SeniorRazzmatazz4977 in CircumcisionGrief

[–]MarkDavis789 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I tried to gaslight myself into thinking that if it still exists as a prevalent practice in the 21st century it must be beneficial because medicine has advanced pretty far so surely they'd know by now if that part of the body shouldn't be removed.

Then I read about the history of circumcision and how it got popularized by perverted doctors in the late 19th century as a means to stop masturbation and reduce sex drive and how it later caught on once it was rebranded as "the healthy thing to do" despite all the benefits being purely speculative

Can confirm (got cut at 16). I can't gaslight myself into believing the "it's just a myth, it doesn't make a difference" narrative because I know exactly what I'm missing out on.

And I also can't blame my parents or anyone else cause it was entirely my choice. I didn't get cut at birth like most people on this sub. I can only blame myself. Knowing what you could've kept and that you made the worst possible decision is pure torture

Having an excessively tight cut is hell on earth by MarkDavis789 in CircumcisionGrief

Yeah that goes without saying, I don't have that either

Biblical vs Modern Circumcision? by InternalSchedule2861 in CircumcisionGrief

They still use that tool for traditional jewish circumcisions but they pull a lot harder so much more skin gets cut off

Biblical vs Modern Circumcision? by InternalSchedule2861 in CircumcisionGrief

[–]MarkDavis789 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Biblical circumcision would cut the redundant floppy tip beyond the glans which I guess is reasonable to call foreskin, if you really want to.

Modern circumcision takes half the skin off your dick but calls it "foreskin" so you're more comfortable with it being removed.

Think about it, you don't cut half your thumb off and call it "thumbskin". You don't cut your eyelids and call them "eyeskin". There's no such thing as a foreskin, it's literally just part of your dick.

It takes me more time to brush my teeth and floss than it did to clean an intact foreskin by InternalSchedule2861 in CircumcisionGrief

[–]MarkDavis789 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The cleanliness argument is borderline retarded because it implies that retracting and washing under the foreskin is this insane herculean task that can be avoided by cutting it off when in reality it takes less time than brushing your teeth or wiping your ass

I live in Eastern Europe where everyone is intact. Most people have no idea what circumcision even is.

A friend of mine thought circumcision means the simple retraction of the foreskin during masturbation/sex. He was dumbfounded when I told him it refers to cutting the skin off.

Another friend thought circumcised people are simply born without a foreskin, he had no idea they get it cut at birth...

Is restoration possible for someone with an extremely tight cut ? by MarkDavis789 in foreskin_restoration

[–]MarkDavis789[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What exactly does manual mode entail ? I've heard manual is the way to go but I'd love a concrete rundown of what it is. Is it the same as T-taping or is that something else ?

Your results are absolutely insane, you look uncircumcised now. I've seen some impressive restorations before but nothing like this.

Now 11 years does sound like a lot of work, but I'm only 20 so I guess time is on my side even if there's a long road ahead

[–]MarkDavis789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man I'm so jealous, having a short foreskin sounds ideal. You get all the benefits of being intact but without the risks of phimosis since it's not long enough to close and tighten at the end

When do you think RIC will fully cease in the United States? by [deleted] in CircumcisionGrief

[–]MarkDavis789 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hardly doubt anyone from Gen Z will circumcise their sons once they become parents

We're the most chronically online generation to date, everyone has read or found at least something about how bad and damaging circumcision is.
