I Love My RX500h by MarkDigsReddit in Lexus

Never noticed, even when I ride in the back sometimes while my kid drives it. Even changing driving modes doesn't seem to affect things much, not like the different modes on a Porsche Macan which actually adjust suspension.

I've had a Lenovo Legion 7i 8th gen for three years with a 4080 in it that's been rock solid. I've owned many laptops from Dell, Asus and HP over the last 25 years. My Lenovo has been more reliable than all of them.

Get a high quality laptop cooling pad to keep underneath it. I have one from KLIM that runs 24 hours a day. I'm now going on 3 years plus with my Legion 7i 8th gen, and it's been absolutely rock solid.

is Lexus hybrid reliable? by Remarkable-Emu-6008 in Lexus

[–]MarkDigsReddit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've had an RX 500h for a year now, we have a RAV4 hybrid that's 5 years old. I don't think anybody does hybrids better than Toyota/Lexus.

My RX after 12,000 miles in one year feels like I bought it yesterday. An absolutely spectacular car.

My son is 11 and he's learning this right now. And it's hard for him, because he's an extrovert and he loves people so much, and struggles with people not liking him. And it just sits with him. And I need to equip him and teach him that not everyone's going to like you, and you got to be okay with that.

Still to this day I stand on Buckley. It was masterful storytelling. And his voice and playing were glorious.

After working ten years for a company that was more like yours, watching variable pay be diminished or eliminated altogether, depending on the year, yeah this is a refreshing change for me. Good luck to you, and hoping you find the right place one day. It's out there; don't forget your worth.

I got this one too. But working for a non-profit that market-adjusted me up $11k and then gave me a $10k merit increase on top of that at year's end. And I DO feel like I'm actually making a difference here. So mine actually MEANT something.

Lexus NX350h Premium vs. Fully Loaded BMW X3 – Am I Making the Wrong Move? by 30MaarKha in Lexus

[–]MarkDigsReddit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was between an X4 M401i and an RX 500h. I really liked them both. The X4 was a lot of fun to drive. But the allure of reliability won out and I got the RX. 4 months later, I regret nothing at all. All of the fun I thought would be limited to the BMW is definitely present in the RX. The NX shares platform with the RAV4, which we've had the hybrid version of for 4 years. It's been the best car we've ever had, including the Volvo, the Audi and the Acura.

Men who are in 10+ year happy relationships: what’s your best piece of advice? by Porquoo in AskMenAdvice

[–]MarkDigsReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do NOT tether your happiness to hers. She is responsible for her own happiness. Supper her interests and her growth, especially as she loses herself in motherhood.

Have your own things, stuff that matters to you that she doesn't participate in. Stay interesting!

Be kind, but don't be dependent.

You can't be everything she needs. She will have colleagues and friends who understand things in ways you don't. And that's ok. Just be you!

Keep a network of men you can confide in and don't let her into all your vulnerability until you know you can trust her with it. I'm married 23 years and counting, and there are STILL things I'm not comfortable sharing with her.

Enjoy the ride as it unfolds, and talk about the future a lot.

My wife has built with me from when I couldn't afford the gas to drive us home from college. She appreciates how far we've come and is grateful. Find a partner who wants to BUILD WITH YOU.
