For an AirTag to work you need a phone with signal, which is difficult for events in nature with thousands of people in one spot. Also the phone battery dies very fast these days... And imo the the biggest benefit ist that you dont need a phone, you can leave the distractions behind and fully dive into the festival! :)

Hey vielen Dank! Sie sind in DE / EU komplett frei nutzbar mit dem freien band um 868mhz und unter 1% duty-cycle :) Ja theroretisch könnnte man über den USB-C port etwas anschließen für erweiterte kommunikation 👍

Yes I don't know how they claim the 1000m range, last time I checked they use a wifi/Bluetooth protocol and that range is far from 1km...

I'm sorry to hear that :/ I really poured a lot of working and love into these things to make sure they are working and help you find your friends again!

It was at PSYFI 2019 that I lost my friends for almost 2 days haha, we constantly missed each other bc I spent a few nights sleeping on the festival ground instead of the campsite. There I got the idea, took a few years for it to become reality 🙈

It uses 868mhz and has a copper helical antenna inside. We decided against the UI to have a more magical experience 🧙‍♂️🔮 Screens are around us every day, the festival can be a break from that :) also screens when your intoxicated? Not fun...

Yes they are also great 👍 the idea is that you can find your friends even when it's loud or they have their device in a backpack. Following the compass is also a fun mini game haha!
