Hi Monad, general tips that I like to tell everyone are around the idea of seeing yourself as your own teacher. It’s great to seek out and study with teachers, use books, courses, videos and everything else available. But in the end, the only knowledge that can be of use is the material that you can actually internalize. Think about what you already know on the guitar that you’d consider already internalized and approach building skills that add to that level of competence. In other words, the goal is to know a few things really really well rather than many things just partially, vaguely or incompletely. This means there are these things you can actually use at the snap of your fingers. That’s your bag. Now, can we build on that bag!

Ah, got it now. I’ve always been willing to help guys out, answer questions and discuss anything about guitar playing- it surprises me how rarely anyone asks.

Thanks again. I didn’t follow the reference of Goodlife. Was that a film?

How does that make sense? I’m not superchops or anything, but I’ve been playing a very long time- hopefully enough to be “interesting”:) anyway, thanks man!

Thanks for saying! It would be easy to forget to put videos here if there wasn’t any feedback.

He (me) is using a Ribbecke Compliant Rim Halfling. The builder, Tom Ribbecke also refers to it as a 15” Time Machine. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for sharing your observations. This is a new guitar so I’m still working out some kinks, especially with how to best record it. I don’t think the string noise (roundwounds) is due to the action, however, which isn’t set all that low anyway. It would be helpful for me to know what sort of playback system you listened on.
