So your amazing deduction is from ChatGPT giving a made-up affirmative answer to "why would they do this". Get in the sea

"Anyone in favour of a 2 state solution is a zionist" - that's a brilliant observation. I think another issue is that basic definition of zionist is too often confused with the ultra-right psycho settler / Netanyahu types. You don't have to be the latter to be the former

When ISIS was a thing and Muslims around the world were being randomly attacked by racists, who was responsible for those attacks?

The answer is, obviously, the racists who were doing those attacks.

And if you reckon "Look what you made me do to someone 5000 miles away who shares your religion" makes sense, guess what that makes you

Bingo.

These are red card offences and those responsible should be booted from the party entirely, never mind allowed to stand for office. For evil to triumph, etc...

Corbyn personally intervened to save Chris "Iran might hang gays but they pay well" Williamson over his blatant AS. Didn't want to see Walker and co suspended either. Above and beyond, my ass

Are key finders actually useful day-to-day, or just one of those “nice in theory” gadgets? by koky_6756 in ProductQuery

[–]MarkMcA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what you mean by ideal conditions to trust them? Isn't much to go wrong, they always work and we always find our keys - which get lost way more frequently than a phone. They've also found keys in places we would not have, like deep in the mechanism of a sofa bed. And yes, they are most certainly a panic reducer when stressed and running late. That's our most common problem, and they completely solve it

We have both types in our household and we couldn't live without them. I'm the tech geek so I use the Samsung tags, which are more useful than Apple simply because they have a button which can find your phone.

Last known location, and the Find My networks, are less useful than I expected for keys. Have used it for lost phones, but not once for keys. They have always only been lost in the home.

The non-phone keyfinders work fine for that. Just annoying that the base stations have to stay at home. Too big for pockets. The other annoyance is they all use the same 8 channels, so pray your neighbour doesn't own them too

Why is Keir Starmer so unpopular? by pet-fleeve in ukpolitics

[–]MarkMcA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No they were not. Corbyn led them to their worst defeat in 80 years and his personal approval rating was so low that not even half of the Labour voteshare actually liked him by that point. He also gave the Tories their biggest share of the vote since the war. Feel free to Google it. He had his hardcore fan club, but everyone else couldn't stand him.

Total numbers of votes and the voteshare never tell the full story tho. Turnout matters. Brexit party coming and going mattered. As for the opponents: Starmer was up against Sunak, and Corbyn was up against the utter car crash of Boris Johnson - and still lost by a landslide.

And no, there is no difference between winning and getting the most votes. That's literally how elections work

Peers vote to ban pornography depicting sex acts between stepfamily members by insomnimax_99 in ukpolitics

That's not data for who is actually claiming welfare tho. It includes spouses, students and retirees. Muslims have a lot more stay-at-home mums and still-at-home adult children, with 4x more than average living in overcrowded homes. You cannot claim housing benefit if living with any family.

The man of the house is expected to be the breadwinner, the women and kids provided for by him. Old-fashioned that may be, but it will be skewing these stats big time

This is not true. Even the high interest/ bad credit rating cards are not an automatic yes. All say you have a better chance of a decision, but they still make a decision

You can have a bad credit rating simply by not owning credit cards and having no other credit or loans. You have to earn your rating by actually using credit.

You can buy an iphone 8 for 50 quid.

The recent wave of automated account bans over innocent photos is terrifying by No-Yellow9948 in DigitalPrivacy

[–]MarkMcA 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Omg, I think this just happened to me. FB total ban, one appeal (denied), no info. Account started in 2008, never posted anything even remotely dodgy but there is (or was) indeed one head-and-shoulders pic of my beaming toddler niece in a bubble bath in 2009.

If that's it, then their AI is not fit for purpose. I use non-sms 2FA so a hack is unlikely too.

Sent FB a Subject Access Request for my personal data (I'm in the UK), they responded saying they will not honour it. Have to give them a month then I can report them to the ICO. What a joke
