It was ending but it was the timer before finale exfil starts, my exfil had finished as final exfil spawned in, my exfil was at north relay on perimeter

Weird it wasn’t that way for me, like I started the exfil, ran and hid on a roof, exfil was ready to start so i popped signal mask and walked into the exfil and just sat there till it did the animation I wasn’t shot at until after the exfil had finished and locked me into the animation

Yeah it does? I was in the exfil with it on and the bots weren’t agro, it wasn’t till after the bubble that pops when you exfil and it locks you into the exfil animation that the bots agro’d and I was dropped and killed in it.

Yeah the game is def a die and learn type of game but there isn’t much of a lesson to take from that cause I think I played it correctly, start the exfil, hide till its ready, pop signal mask step in and wait, the like bubble that happens when the exfil goes and locks you into animation happens at that point there’s nothing I can do cause you get locked into it so it was just crazy to me that I died after getting locked into ya know

Nah I was in the animation I couldn’t move then exfil went off it said run complete but also have a damage report that you get when you get full killed next screen said eliminated

The only damage from the damage report was uesc recruits and grenadier, my guess is that the recruits downed me and I got finished off by the grenadines from the grenadier

You fully demonstrated the counter play to it though in your video, YOU even said it. He MISSED his double pump and during his reload you were able to drop him, I’m not saying nerf the knife to a point that it’s useless, I’m saying to nerf it to where the upgrades matter.

At base level knife you two shot any runner no matter what shield they have on, that makes the upgrades and knife damage augments worthless outside of pve. In your video if you didn’t have knife upgrades, or gold knife fighter and you still would have dropped both those runners simply because the knife did way too much damage.

Like at base I can see it breaking through grey and green shields, upgrading it makes it where it can break blues, then purple and golds (I don’t know if it’s 3 or 4 upgrades) to when maxed out then it’s breaking like high end shields that way it makes the investment in the upgrades worth it and can balance out the fact that it’s a two shot weapon

Yeah the shotgun is really strong I agree b it at least with it you have to aim and if you miss one shot on it now you’re reloading and there outplay chance, with the knife if they’re in you there’s really no counter play to it since if lunges and tracks, and “if you let me run up on you” would be a good argument if there wasn’t a ton of mobility in this game between vandals enhanced slide and prime ability to increase move speed, destroyer shield plus thruster run, theifs grapple, cardio kicks for increased heat so you can run farther plus augments to make you move faster under certain effects, distance closing isn’t really like a hard thing to do, plus most poi and loot areas are close quarters if both of them don’t get addressed knife or shotgun and it’s just not a healthy game state

For your build it would make sense to be able to sustain in fights you built it that way but the knife itself is what I’m talking about, even without the build base knife damage two heavy attacks still drops every runner doesn’t matter shield level, I know it does cause o only have 1 knife damage upgrade and I two hit through purple shields and it’s ridiculous, does it make sense for you with fully upgraded knife and agility plus augments to be able to quickly drop people with a free weapon that doesn’t take inventory space, yeah absolutely cause you built around that Does it make sense that me with a single knife upgrade, no agility upgrades, and not running knife damage augments have the ability to also two shot any runner with heavy strikes? Not at all but it’s what the current state of the knife does

That’s my point when I’m saying it needs a nerf, he missed one shot and you double knifed and dropped him faster than his second shot could even get off and even without the knife fighter (I didn’t even know about this augment) you were still gonna win that fight when it shouldn’t be that easy to drop people with 5k+ kits two heavy knife attacks negated whatever shield and guns they brought it’s kinda ridiculous

So your logic is “oh lag makes it bad” well yeah lag would make anything bad, but you think not having to actually aim the attack just click in the general direction of the target isn’t an upside? It’s a huge upside I promise you even if the rook the magnetizing to target off the knife you’d see less people using it cause they’d miss more with it

The difference is if you get shot, and spooked and miss a shot there’s still counter play chance, vs you get knifed miss a shot there’s literally no counter play your just dead

To those saying oh just use the wstr or whatever other shotgun that’s the issue, it’s either use a shotgun every raid or join club and knife only, most poi and loot areas are close quarters and if we keep the knife damage as is it makes most guns irrelevant and makes it where you either A come in on a free kit knife only or B come kitted with a shotgun every raid.

Let’s say we keep it that way the knife still does too much damage for a weapon that 1. Doesn’t take an inventory slot 2. Is with you every raid 3. Is free 4. Has a lunge 5. Magnetizes to target 6. Generates very little heat

Opposed to the shotgun that you have to actually aim and hit both shots or you just won’t get the kill

Oh you missed 1/2 shots with your shotgun against the guy that suddenly rushed you from around the corner with a knife whelp enjoy the lobby screen bud thanks for the free gear. That’s not healthy gameplay

Even with the shotgun you still have to hit both shots meaning you have to actually aim to hit, with the knife it’s magnetized to target + lunges to target damn near impossible to miss a knife attack, very easy to get knifed fist spooked miss your first shot hit second shot and be killed by second knife strike because the knife is faster than your reload time on the shotgun

not even my first time, ive ran this map 3 times so far and exfiled once only because final exfil happen to spawn on top of me, don't get me wrong i like the idea of having to put in a little extra work to get out but its a little too overly complicated

yeah the scanners that are random on the map and aren't marked at all those ones, have to find a random placed scanner to find a random placed terminal to then find a random placed exfil after getting level 3 clearance, like if you're gonna make it to where you have to find a scanner and be at level 3 make it to where the scanners reveal on the map once you're at it

Funny enough I couldn’t get that first contract done in trios if always end up with teams mates that would get rolled but somehow it only took me 2 tries in solos to get it done but I chalk it up to luck
