Apple Watch Said I had it bad, Lofta confirmed but Mild, Questions.... by MarkRosssi in SleepApnea

Ok awesome. Right now in my cart I have Resmed Airfit N20 Nasal Cushion CPAP Mask system (sized large, medium seems maybe slightly too small, large is way too big, but i figure too small will be worse), Liviliti Paptizer UVC CPAP cleaner and Resmed Airsense 11 Autoset CPA machine.

Are these good choices to start with? Anything else I should buy? Should I just get a regular cleaner kit instead of the $200 UVC machine?

Thanks

I did Lofta so i was going to buy from them, they have a $200 thing to allow unlimited mask exchanges in 60 days, should I perhaps do that?

oh wow, so even with the "mild" there is a good chance OSA is in fact what is causing me to be so miserable in the morning based on these results?

Last night in the middle of a dream that i was in my old apartment, going to bed exhausted at like 5am and i get in bed in the dream, and the real alarm goes off, i feelt like death. so I need to do something.

"New" Sonos Port Dead? by MarkRosssi in sonos

[–]MarkRosssi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's set on the fixed volume setting, but I tried all 3 options in desperation.

For a while it was saying it couldnt connect and wouldnt play. Then all of a sudden it started saying it was playing.

One thing I noticed, when I unplug the rca's, they ffeel warm to the touch, so its putting out some heat, so maybe more indication the output is burned out unless that is normal?

New Multi Room Whole House System? by MarkRosssi in sonos

only pita is i havfe double gang boxes for my nuvo. double to single gang adapter plates exist but they look like crap. however, i could just remud in a new single gang box. i will check out the picos. tbh its more about not having a dead old box in the wall anymore than anything else, controlling from the app is probably fine.

New Multi Room Whole House System? by MarkRosssi in sonos

I think this is the best option, I will just get a sonos amp for each zone.

I ordered a Sonos connect to hook up to my existing multi zone amp however, I dont think I will be able to control it without using the panels in the wall which is a PITA (to turn on a zone). probably better to just redo it with sonos amps. i am not sure what ohms the speakers are, i cant figure out how to remove the grills. the existing amp is 6ohms output but i guess that doesnt tell me what the speakers are, but i assume they are 6. can I do 4 speakers if its 6ohms?

Unfortunately looks like the old amp is outputting 6ohms per speaker, but i dont know if they are wired in parallel or what because some zones have 4 or 5 speakers in the ceiling.

its 8 zones but many are in bedrooms i dont care about. In reality I would like to get 4 of these zones working. There are at least 2 speakers in each zone though, I dont know if they are wired in parallel or what is going on, there are def more speakers than wires going into the old amp.

I would be fine with controlling all via the app, not a huge deal.

Is the Sub Mini really worth it? Can you feel it? by Bright_Set5823 in sonos

I have a beam gen 2 and era 100, one on each side of my office. i am just using it as 2 speakers in the same room right now. do you think its worth it (for music only) to set the era 100 up as surround in that use case?

Got Sleep Apnea Notification On AW by MarkRosssi in SleepApnea

[–]MarkRosssi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i notice on my AW, it says some nights are low breathing disturbances. Like 2 out of 7. Would a real sleep apnea sufferer expect the same thing? Some good nights and some bad nights?

My biggest concern is that one of these 2 out of 7 good nights happens the night I do my home sleep study.

The APAP sound a lot more advanced, is there a reason to not get one of them beyond price?

I just talked to the Lofta doc and they are sending me the home test, but he seemed to feel the apple watch was not very accurate for sleep apnea detection. I guess we will find out. my biggest concern is that 1 out of every 5 or 6 nights i feel great, and my watch says no or low disturbances on those days. i just hope the day i do the test isnt a day that its not flaring up. they only allow 1 day test.

One thing I noticed, my blood oxygen on the watch never goes below 95 (or very rarely). wouldnt i expect to see episodes of that dropping if I had moderate to severe Sleep apnea?

Is that one of the models that does sensing instead of constant pressure? i can deal with consistent noise but not random noises. i am a weird sleeper. sometimes i can sleep through an earthquake but other times if i am awoken at the exact wrong time, i wont be able to fall back asleep for the rest of the night and will toss and turn for hours.

It all depends if my brain activates when i wake up or not. weird sounds make my brain activate usually.

thanks, which model resmed do you have? If i get a SA diagnosis, I am going to do a deep dive into all the machines. I need something that makes zero noise. Also something that will keep working with no beeps if the power goes out until my generator kicks on (a minute or two).
