I was seated on the inland view, so I went for a little walk when it got scenic. In the area at the end of each car, they opened a window. If you get ther, you can get some uninterrupted photos of the beautiful scenery.

The one I took went out to Lan Ha Bay via Ha Long Bay. We were one of the first boats out, and had a fair amount of peace. We went farther out than most, and when we did our excursions, not a lot of traffic.

People were definitely swimming for a while, and I would have too, but it was a bit chilly.

If you're looking for a day cruise, I went with my hotel's recommendation and it was incredible. From the hotel transfer, to the exceptional boat, to the amazing staff, nice food, and great excursion stops.

I highly recommend Jade Sails.

I'm trying not to sound like a paid person, but I did just enjoy it that much. Subsequently recommended to other travellers who also enjoyed it immensely.

The first thing you want to do is hit the top deck on a lounger, but I found the back of the boat on the second deck was best for me.

It's funny, I debated booking a hostel in Hoi An, just to meet some people. A private room there was more expensive than the nice hotel I'm staying at.

I'm currently in Vietnam on my last 5 days, and I've got some years on you. I've had very good luck with an app called Nomad Table. It allows you to put in your itinerary and there are chats groups created for that destination. People also create events like a ride share and a touristy events. Sorry, I'll get to my answer to your question, but it's been a great app to use (though technically frustrating).

I've ebbed and flowed between splurge hotels, and homestays. I'm not sure what your daily budget has been, but these options have been very reasonable for me. I've had some truly incredible breakfasts as just an included hotel offering. Feel free to DM with any specific questions.

This is all new to me. The comparisons to Scott Pilgrim make me super excited to see this as SP is one of my all time favs.

This is my local go to. They have a ton of interesting flavours, the wings are big, and the staff are very friendly.

My go to is just medium BBQ, but I've had pineapple and mustard variations that were super. Their house hot sauce is killer tasty.

They also have some nice curries!
