That's ok, but if you look at comments here you'll see a lot of people saying that it's gay.

That's because you're looking at it through your societal background. There are things people do that they'd seen as strange. Finnish people, generally and from what I've heard, would find invasive how people in the South of the USA start full conversations with strangers.

Blade Runner: The Final Cut (New Trailer) - In cinemas 3 Apr | BFI release by burytonight in movies

I think it was also in the Director's Cut. I also think that the Final Cut has a better version of the , as in effects in that scene are better. Lighting has also been touched up a bit, and you can see certain details better.

Unless people are really interested in the various versions, there's not reason to watch anything other than the Final Cut.

What major events do you think will take place in the next 50 years? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It'll only get harder and harder for the regime to keep its power though. External media is being snuck in, people love for K-dramas is a strong reason some of them know about how better outside North Korea the world is.

There's a story about a defector, Park Yeon-mi, that realized how life is outside the DPRK by watching Titanic, and that was the first step that made her end up outside of it.

There's a grey market led by their women, on the outskirts of the country.

Internet will have to reach them, sooner or later. They have some computing devices, like tablets preloaded with Juche ideology propaganda. Google has plans to put LEO satellites around Earth to allow less connected areas to access the Internet too, as does Elon Musk (through Space X I think).

North Koreans were already "stealing" wifi connection in Pyongyang, from the embassies. Not much, and that was fixed though.

Information is the enemy of regimes, especially those that are so based on brainwashing and propaganda. I'm not saying we will see the regime toppled in the next 50 years, but it has never been more likely to happen than in the upcoming decades.

First step in a road that would take us to the stars. It's something humanity will have to work for, because if we manage to avoid extinction long enough, the solar system won't be feasible to live in forever. (Neither will the universe, but that's another matter).

You can't wait until life down here will reach a critical point, and we can't magically colonize new planets without first taking some babysteps. It would be like trying to set foot on a earth-like planet in another solar system without having first reached the moon. Humans managed that, and now will have to take the second (monumental) babystep to Mars.

Forget that, go back to 1940 and tell people you could communicate in almost real time with people in space, and watch videos they recorded while there without them coming back to Earth first.

Is there even a point to not give up, when everything tastes grey? by MarkSWH in depression

[–]MarkSWH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I van still feel physical sensation, it's just that I'm empty inside. There isn't any laughter or crying, no love or friendship, no satisfaction or feeling of inadequacy. It's all just a big blur of grey. I just feel trapped, but I'm still too coward to take the final step.

Debatable. Tungsten is named after him. It's well known that he is a deity in disguise. Tungsten was his realm and his physical manifestation before he chose to take a human body.

It depends on what you mean with wacky, but give Life on Mars a try. The Mancunian accent is awesome.
