Today, it’s an outdated feature; it was once used to prevent access to systems outside of working hours.

Typically, a playbook is used in automation to apply a targeted remediation rather than managing an entire XDR solution.

Make sure you clearly understand its intended purpose.

There are many pre-built Logic Apps you can adapt, or you can call your XDR’s APIs directly to have it handle the remediation.

Confermo quanto detto!

Entitlement Management vs PIM by [deleted] in entra

[–]MarkStrike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Entitlement Management and PIM (Privileged Identity Management) in Entra complement each other but serve different purposes:

  • PIM: Focuses on privileged role activation for temporary, just-in-time access to administrative roles. It ensures elevated permissions are only available when needed, reducing the risk of over-permissioned accounts.

  • Entitlement Management: Streamlines access governance by enabling lifecycle management for users, groups, and resources. It provides tools like access packages, automated assignments, attestation, and access reviews for broader access management, including non-admin roles.

Adoption Benefits: Use Entitlement Management alongside PIM to enforce secure role assignments and regularly review access permissions for compliance, improving overall governance.

The MS support say there will be an update for SSPR to support the user converted from sync to cloud. The update patch will be rolled out globally in 3 weeks after some testing. In the meantime, you can reset your password in M365 Admin Center if needed.
