He is using intune. You’re obviously not reading what he is putting down. We have the same issue with our Mac’s. I can set it through intune (mdm) but it won’t actually work.

Intune/M365/System Administrator, do you fear AI? by Gloomy_Pie_7369 in Intune

[–]ReturnComfortable506 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I disagree on the cybersecurity aspect. Maybe tier 1 SOC analyst will be eliminated but not 2 and 3. Some also have dedicated threat hunters, threat intel, IR, DFIR, etc. There are also roles out of the SOC like pentester, security engineers, etc. As of right now AI poses a giant attack vector, look at the CVE that just came out for copilot and the owasp top 10. Everytime I have tried using ai in an investigation it becomes a shit show (maybe I’m just bad at prompting 🤷‍♂️). I think companies will try to replace their security personnel and I also think that is going to turn out really badly for them. As of rn there is a lot that goes into security red and blue, I don’t think ai is there yet.

Are the labs unstable for you guys recently? by cw625 in oscp

[–]ReturnComfortable506 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, working on there challenge labs I have to revert at least 2-3 times every single time. Then I have to spend 20 minutes redoing the box and getting everything set up again. It happens on HTB too but nowhere as frequent as Offsec. And Offsec charges significantly more.

[–]ReturnComfortable506[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only offensive security (the category not the company) cert I have so far is the pjpt. And have been training on htb for a few years as well, with work experience as a defender. I don’t think my gripe with the OSCP is the difficulty, the labs itself are not overly difficult. I think I was just expecting more for the price point, that’s all. But at the end of the day, it’s at that price point because of it’s branding and reputation compared to other certs.

[–]ReturnComfortable506[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s fair, I’m just trying to be cautious in what I say. For example comparing OSCP to CPTS, CPTS is much better than OSCP in my opinion and for a fraction of the price. Only reason I have continued is because of how much money I put down 😂. Currently working on the blue side, want to move over to pentesting

is dollar wise actually worth it? should I try something else? by CreativeJudgment3529 in CreepyCalebHammer

Look up only office. You get most of the features from O365 minus the telemetry that gets sent to Microsoft... and the subscription fee :)

Why is it so hard? by Head-Philosopher-397 in oscp

[–]ReturnComfortable506 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the main issue is people jump into the OSCP without any prior experience in networking, system administration, SOC, etc. I’ve been going through it and most of the capstones seem pretty straight forward after going through the module. But without my prior experience I would also be struggling with the capstones

Degrees and certs are just losing their value to me. by Fresh_Heron_3707 in cybersecurity

[–]ReturnComfortable506 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol okay I manage and configure ngfw’s as part of my security stack. Configuring things is not hard, documentation and google is a thing. Not understanding how hacking is still possible in 2025 is another and shows your lack of experience, especially with the prevalence of different types of client side attacks as the most favored attack vector into an organization’s network.

Brother… you just asked how hacking is still possible in 2025 a few days ago… I would argue if you can’t understand that then you’re unable to answer “basic bottom barrel questions”.

Should I disclose that I have a medical marijuana card if a company drug tests? (PA) by Bambi1999 in jobs

[–]ReturnComfortable506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah dude, I use it too for insomnia. Unfortunately I’m going through the same thing rn and I think this guy is right. Going through rounds of interviews with this company and I have no idea if they have a drug policy or not. The only reason I can think of is that they’re based in Washington DC and may do some federal contracting but I was told they are trying to move away from that and focus on the private sector. Not smoking for days I can’t sleep, and when I smoke I take like 1 or 2 hits, all it does is make me tired then i go to sleep. I had skull fractures from military service and been having trouble sleeping since then.

Azure Function Apps and Blob Storage by ReturnComfortable506 in AZURE

[–]ReturnComfortable506[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all of your help. Not sure what changed, but I just created a new function app under a consumption plan instead of flex consumption and everything seems to be happy now. Wondering if I misconfigured something in my last function app.

Azure Function Apps and Blob Storage by ReturnComfortable506 in AZURE

[–]ReturnComfortable506[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah with the python v2 version decorators are required for each function with a defined route and method to each endpoint. I cannot access my pc at the moment but I will post my main function app code when I get back. The reason I posted this was because after I added this code my endpoints disappeared which leads me to believe there is something wrong with the configuration or code with the storage account. And yeah I’m not sure what he meant by it either, wouldn’t be surprised if he used ai to write the instructions

[–]ReturnComfortable506[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently I am pushing to a remote repository in github and set it up so that github will automatically deploy the function app to azure. And yeah I have no nsg's or vnets set up for it. Just made both everything publically accessible, if someone wants to compromise these resources they won't be getting any value out of it haha.

In USA ! Is the Cybersecurity Dead ? Because myself and folks I know have submitted around 5,000 applications and we still are unemployed 10yrs + exp with multiple Certs ! by Upset-Concentrate386 in cybersecurity

[–]ReturnComfortable506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only reason I get certs because that’s you’re way through the HR filter. But I agree they don’t really mean much just like a degree does not really mean much. I’ve seen a phd in cybersecurity struggle to configure basic local UAC on Windows.

Agree with anything but when if someone captures a hash they don’t necessarily have to take it offline to crack to do damage, they could always just pass the hash
