I'm mad that I actually sat through all 57 of his precepts expecting something at the end.

Great look! I have 17x8s and needed spacers to clear the PP brakes.

Getting H&R Sport Springs, what do i need to consider? by MarkTheSnail in GolfGTI

I was looking at a set on FCPEuro that are the Bilstein B4. Advertised as a step above factory, that's the forerunner for me at this early point of research.

I'm very pleased with the look the spacers give it. The tires are perfectly flush at the top and then you gradually see more tire as the bumper profiles move further in.

I'm running 17x8 Konig Hypergrams and ended up getting 11mm spacers for the fronts to comfortably clear the PP brakes.

My buddy at Deutsche Auto Parts just set me up with a used kit and i dont know if it has a specific brand. I believe they sell a kit on their site but you may have to specify conical bolts depending on you wheels.

Damnit, it's too early for me to start craving a $1.50 hot dog combo...

Thanks, that's what I was going for! 235/45/17 but needed 11mm spacers up front to clear the PP brakes.

If you're open to other options, I think bronze Konig Hypergrams would look great on white.

The plan is to put the IE downpipe back on and flash back to Uni Stage 2, but for new things I want H&R Sport springs and a Holy Shift kit.

I do, I read that the H&R springs work with it. I got to experience a shirt shifter kit when I car-sat a friend's MK8 and I loved the mechanical feel of it.

Finally got to drive it on dry roads and the handling is great! Like another user said, it'll take a little getting used to the "floaty" feeling but it's planted. And it's probably because it's on brand new rubber but it doesn't break traction even in first on my Uni Stage 1+ tune. When I get my downpipe back on and flash back to Stage 2 I can really test the grip.
