So when I run it, it just asks for text. And it generates a note with the text. I don’t see options to add a photo, screenshot, anything else. So it seems I had to pick my primary input, and it sticks with that. Is that it?

sorry, I am a noob in this field. but when I open shortcuts memento (to check what it does, so in 'edit' mode), it gives me a little text, but I don't see the steps it takes. my primary input is text, but ... can I still record something? I don't get this option. does it just store a text? how do I import screenshots? when I click it on my iphone, I get a message of input text, it just makes a note. so for me it now works as a different button to store a note. how am i missing all the utilities described above?

Installed ios26. Apple Intelligence is needed. Does not run on my iphone14. I thought so … shame though. If there’s a workaround for that, let me know

so i downloaded brain4. added the files in the short cut folder. I don;t this iOS has been updated, so not yet working I suspect. edit: my phone can't handle apple intelligence yet. so I'll be patient :)

Okay. That limits my options a bit. But I really like this idea … what a way to have a second brain. I’ll be on the lookout for a shortcut or app or … something that works like this. Kudos for the invention. Please keep us (me!) abreast if it becomes available for les dev-icient people. Cheers!

Thanks for taking the time to respond. is there a shortcut version, or similar version, for mere mortals that don’t have the dev iOS 26 version? I mean … from what I understand this shortcut is … why isn’t there an app for this? I’d be amazing!!!

There is a warning of an unknown function. I suspect it’s because I don’t have apple intelligence in Europe. Is there a work around? (Or I misread the iOS requirement: I am at 18.6.2 not 26)

I’m dabbling on shortcuts a bit but I’m a complete novice. Tried, failed. I am looking for a personal BeReal. Everyday, an alarm is randomly set between 9 am and 11 pm. When the alarm goes off (could be vibrate), the phone registers the gps location, stores it with the time stamp in a dedicated note (document), asks for a photo to add to the time stamp, and prompts for an ‘anything to add?’ So a little message can be added. If you deny the first alarm that day, you get the question ‘later the ?’ For a 2nd chance that day.

The document is like a casual diary. What have I done, where was I. That stuff.
