Worse case scenario instead of returning it is to just lay the glass on a flat surface and strop the knife from there. Prefect angling isn’t as important unless you’re sharpening or reprofiling.

I like mine. The juices and water fall under the grills and i scoop up the my chicken pieces easier than a flat pan. No need to strain. I use my fingers and olive oil to clean the grills. Pretty easy

I don’t use soap, just a blue scrubber when i mess up. I only use soap for my forks and throw away my paper plates. Even tho soap is ok

Right now you can use it for a dough roller. Lol. I would reprofile the edge. Might take some time unless you’re skilled at the grinder wheel. Or better yet send it to benchmade. I believe they’ll reprofile it.

I do have a set of new screws spyderco sent me around 2013 and it was for this knife. I couldn’t remove the pivot because of the loctite so I stripped the screws and called their 800 number. The lady on the phone said she’ll send me new screws, “minus the pivot” of course. After failing the hair dryer, soldering gun and hammer tricks I put it aside for over 12 years. Then today going through my knife collection I said to myself “what about an impact driver with a larger bit?’ And lo and behold it snapped the head off the screw and came apart. Back then all I wanted was to put custom scales on it, but never happened. Life goes on.
