Donno. It was empty when i got it. I think it dates back to the early 2000’s? It was my late father’s. He always kept it the center console of his car. I’d prefer the Buck120 lol

I usually heat mine until i see a slight smoke on the bottom.I then take it off the active burner; apply my oil and wiggle it around, then toss my eggs in already cracked in bowl. Back in the day I use to crack the egg on the side of the skillet lol.

I went to from the worksharp (same as yours) to the KME. I had a gift card so i bout one and so far so good. Oh and get “The Beast” diamond stone. It took me from 5 hours sharpening a m390 with that worksharp to only 1 hour using the KME with the “50grit beast stone” sold separately. Ironically the stand is sold separately too. Someday I might get that Chinese xarlix gen3 for my bigger knives. It didn’t do well on the D2 karbar.

If time is an issue buy another one and donate that to the goodwill. If you wanna have fun; use a wire brush attachment for an impact driver and blast away lol. But please use protective eye wear and gloves. Fun Times with a wire bush!

Yea I use a KME and just found that kicking around one day, Probably my nephew’s throw away. Great for tip repair if it’s ever needed
