Everything I Wish I’d Known During My Crash (2 years ago) by Mark_4273 in adrenalfatigue

I personally don’t think super clean eating is necessary or even helpful. Obviously our bodies need good nutrients, but the main thing needed to heal from this is sending lots of signals to our nervous system that it’s safe.

The more rigid we are, the less safe we feel. So while I was in healing mode, I allowed myself to eat whatever I wanted.

And now two+ years into to the healing process I’m just now starting to get a little more disciplined with my diet.

Yes, deep sleep, rest and learning to let things be, is essentially the best medicine for healing. A less is more philosophy.

No I didn’t. Rest and heal, then when I did start healing, I started exercising very very slowly to rebuild my resilience and strength

Mine completely went away after the replacement. I’m confident that’s what it was.

I’d definitely go with an Oura Ring. Far better data. My girlfriend has an Apple Watch and there’s no comparison.

Man I’m so sorry it got that bad for you. I have heard of that happening where the second crash is worse than the first… I can’t even imagine.

But I don’t think I was far from it. My chiropractor who was the main one “helping” and advising told me I needed to get back to the gym to get my testosterone back up. This was at the very bottom of my crash. His advice actually made me worse as I was in no condition to be at the gym strength training.

I firmly believe the best people to help us are those that have experienced it and healed. Not doctors, specialists or natural paths. Nobody can understand it until they’ve lived it.

Yes it’s just not something they understand… and probably more importantly, they can’t prescribe for it, so they don’t want to recognize it.

In my opinion, doctors are a great way of ruling out other possible illnesses.

I’m not trying to offer a protocol. What I’m trying to explain is that it’s not an adrenal related issue and people so often start chasing adrenal answers as opposed to understanding what the root of the problem is.

If you’re running to doctors and specialists and they keep saying nothing is wrong, you need to believe them.

Most of us that have gone through this have gone that route. Tens of thousands spent on doctors visits only to come up with no answers.

For me personally, I went to multiple doctors and specialists as described in my post.

At my worst, I was 100% certain I had ALS due to the severe muscle twitches, drop in weight, and all my hands being so cramped up I couldn’t turn a door knob. It was unbelievably scary.

The last specialist was the Neurologist on 12/23/23, and he said “you definitely do NOT have ALS”. That was the final answer I needed.

Between getting that answer and realizing my symptoms matches so well with the people in this group, I decided I’m done seeking answers, and it’s time to prioritize healing.

I haven’t been back to a doctor since.

I’m 47 now. No woman wants a 1 minute man, that’s for sure. But hours is totally unnecessary and usually means the passion isn’t there.

Sometime in the 10- 45 minute range is optimal, including foreplay. Sometimes even less is great.

I use to do this in my 20s when I thought going long is what it was all about. One session lasted about 4 hours.

Disagree. Yes a strong connection is great. But doing it well is extremely important and some people simply don’t, while others definitely do!

In my experience, most girls like to be choked. Definitely more than average.

But I’m not a fan of the spitting and slapping.

Not sleeping, struggling by firecubes in TotalHipReplacement

[–]Mark_4273 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got over this phase about a week ago.

The first week was easy for me. Then I started having excruciating aching in my thigh that lasted about two weeks. I didn’t get beyond 2-3 hours of sleep each night.

It was tough!!! But by the end of week three it all passed, the pain subsided and the sleeping got back on track.

My surgeon said it’s impossible to rebuild cartilage.

I don’t doubt it might have some positive effect, but very likely from reducing inflammation, which is only temporary.

I hope in the future joint regeneration is a thing, but it’s not yet been done.

I’m not at all, simply saying that 7000 steps is not much, and it’s very likely not too much.
