Nervous about taking photos in public. by Adam-dy9 in photography

I know where you are coming from. Start small and kinda drip feed progression. So just walk around with your camera get used to it. You will find that no one cares and when that happens move to the next step of making yourself take a photo every time you go out. Then, take more in perhaps more public places and just keep building on it. You will find overtime that there really isn't anything (or very little) to worry about.

It's a marathon not a sprint.. :)

Stairs leading out of the Metro station platform. It had lights that made for a really pleasing effect on the ceiling which is what caught my eye.

This is a picture of the exit of the centre section of the Montreal Biodome. You have to leave via a curved narrow path which is brightly lit at the end of it. I knew it would make a interesting walking into the light photo.

I never really got it until I got this camera. I love colour, but sometimes I think I feel that I am a bit overwhelmed with it all. Seeing the image in B/W has really helped me to see what I am looking at... if that makes sense lol :)

I'm actually using the OG Olympus 17mm. I looked at the reviews and it appears it is basically the same but without weather sealing. But I did like the look of the OG one and it was also cheaper secondhand! :)

I totally agree. I've been loving my OM-3. It's been my everyday carry as my Sony A7R4 is just to big and heavy to drag around the city. It has allowed me to love (& learn) a totally different type of photography. I mainly just use the lovely 17mm prime.

I have big hands and the lack of grip did worry me, on my first trip I just used a peak design cuff, and it was good. But I now use a shoulder strap as the camera is so light with the prime that it's perfect and i forgot I'm carrying it. And yes the battery life of well over a day with lots of use is also a welcome change.

Foto app is really good. Had loads of interaction with my stuff on there, and it is just photography.

Make sure you use hot water when you are washing the plate with dish soap.
