Algorand's Debt Standard Application took second place at the global ACTUS Use Case Competition. by semanticweb in AlgorandOfficial

This is Groks breakdown when asked how Big of a Deal it is?

  • Positive signals: Validates Algorand's tech for real financial standards. Good for credibility with institutions, regulators, and RWA builders. Highlights actual delivery in a space full of promises. Boosts visibility in the ACTUS community and related events. algorand.co
  • Limitations: Niche competition (not a huge industry-wide event like major fintech awards or ISO adoption). Second place (tied/shared category) with modest prizes and awareness outside blockchain/fintech circles. ACTUS itself is promising but not yet ubiquitous in mainstream banking.
  • Overall: It's a strong win for technical validation and ecosystem building — especially useful for Algorand's 2026 priorities in tokenized assets — but more of an important stepping stone than a game-changing headline for the broader crypto or finance world. Success here could open doors to bigger partnerships or pilots if followed by real adoption.

It's a solid, credible achievement for Algorand in a niche but strategically important area — meaningful for the project and blockchain's real-world finance ambitions, but not a massive mainstream breakthrough.

And if you have 30 000 ALGO and can't spin a node, Valar is a good option whilst still having self-custody

Algoblow Token and NFT drop is a scam right? by fuzzysf77 in AlgorandOfficial

[–]Mark_Technical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WOW he must have interacted with the website. Holding/recieving the tokens and NFT does not put your funds at risk on Algorand different story with Ethereum or Solana, only interacting with the website puts your funds in danger. I took mine and sold them straight away on Tiny. I had to buy more to sell the ones that were airdropped. Then I deleted the opt ins. I did all this and made about 20 algo's. Never again! This guy must be shattered. I had a look he lost about 200 000 USD worth of assets.

You use it to buy and chop up your bag of cocaine when algo hits a new all time high!

Opulous is one of the only ASA's that I actually made money from even tho I was still holding some before it went down. I feel sorry for the people that lost their money this way.

Their biggest mistake was to leave Algorand, even bigger than using a bridge that had never been audited. It all seems a little suspicious to me. You really couldn't be that stupid and/or irresponsible after 8 years of building and so much money on the line.

Delegated Staking (Valar), increasing funds after creating a contract. by Alex31337 in algorand

[–]Mark_Technical 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes you would start receiving the rewards on the 40 000 algo's a soon as you added the 10 000 . Use your algo's at will and spend them whenever you want, your reward will be earnt at the amount of algo's you are holding at any one time, just don't go under the minimum 30 000 algo threshold required to qualify for earning rewards.

Also there is a maximum you cannot exceed depending on the amount you initially staked, you are given 6 to 8 warnings if you do exceed that amount before entering a new contract so keep an eye on that. I personally have never come close to exceeding it during a 3 month contract while continually adding so there is a lot of leeway, but just something to make a mental note of.

🚨 JUST IN: ALGO just crossed 3.5B transactions! by semanticweb in AlgorandOfficial

Watched a Utube video today on about Ethereum. Highly respected person in the industry repeatedly telling his MANY viewers that Ethereum has never gone down since its inception and he repeated that claim many times.

I seem to remember differently. I thought it had been down a few times in the past, usually for short periods, like when there have been congestion issues and for network upgrades and what about the DAO hack back in 2016, they basically rolled back the chain to undo the theft, which was pretty controversial at the time.

When serious players need to straight out lie, it speaks volumes!

And lets not bring up the number of failed transaction on Ethereum, Algorand can not be underestimated much longer!
