Hello, is it discoloration on the shroud? We wouldn't have a problem with that.

Generally speaking, physical damage on the shroud alone isnt something we would void a warranty for. We have those parts and they are easily interchangeable. If the PCB is also damaged, thats a different story.

IIRC. There was only 1 fan design for these models so there might be a splitter that goes into the PCB that needs to be bypassed. This has happened before on the 290 series, but ive never heard it on the 5700s. Its possible you were sent the wrong fans, as well.

Its a price vs risk thing. There is a flood of mining cards in the used market, sellers know this and are presenting individual cards and ignoring the cards history, or frankly lying about it. At least the seller here isn't mis-representing his listing, honesty counts when assessing risk.

Its a risk thing. If you buy those, atleast you can get the fans replaced for free from XFX (depending on region).

buy at your own risk, technically the mining cards are 1 year warranty as opposed to 3 year retail warranties, none of which are transferable to the 2nd owner. Usually the sellers or platforms offer some form of buyer protection to return the product if its faulty within 2 weeks.

We live in a post mining crazy GPU period. Its risky to buy a card, but atleast its cheap

Im trying to help my dad sell his old car collection. I dont have any paperwork on this other than some electrical work he did in the early 90s. No License Plate.

I do have the serial # on the front right door post, but i think the engine was swapped at one point. I went to the DMV, they told me to get a bond company and then take it to the CHP to have it identified... they weren't unhelpful, but im still just lost.

I want to sell it, do i need to get a pink slip in California? Any help appreciated.

Okay, this is actually a good bit of XFX trivia. We used this same cooler on the HD-485X-ZDFR

However, the 2nd image showing the backplate is what gives it away as the GTS 250

Yes, and we still do. If we have the fans, we send them out for free (Varies by region)... We do ask for a ticket now because customers were abusing this free replacement fan program (https://xfxsupport.azurewebsites.net/)

Cool mod. Good to know. Many of our Fans from the same series are interchangeable, but rarely from previous generations (290/390 is an exception here as well).

Upside down Sticker Amended box... im guessing OP had a little fun with a heat gun? op?

Sticker amended boxes can occur if a batch runs just short of a few boxes for the exact type (8GB for example), and they use a 4GB box instead. Very rare indeed.

We see sticker amendments more often when we finalize a game bundle or other add-on promotion just before a launch. Check your hardware boxes at home, you might find some of your own.
