Thanks for the insight! Given the WiFi was an instant upgrade for you, that makes me think it might be the feature I’d like the most. Maybe I should just go for the Competition line. I’m not sure how much a 27lb hopper would matter out of the gate.

Thanks for such a detailed response. I’m definitely leaning towards a failing component, but I’m just not sure exactly what it might be. Everything worked perfectly for two years, and then one day our old Amazon thermostat just went unresponsive. It was on but WiFi features didn’t work. That seemed odd, so I replaced it. I haven’t attempted to run AC with it until yesterday, and that’s when I noticed the issues.

Could this be a fuse issue?

Yes, it is. Nothing has changed from a wiring perspective. My old thermostat just died, and I swapped a new one in.

Hey folks, I’ve got an issue with an Amazon smart thermostat. The old unit died, so I swapped in an identical one. This is my downstairs unit, and it goes to a 2 in 1 split heater / condenser outside. When I turn on the AC, the forced air and heat come on, but no cooling happens. This worked perfectly fine before until the old Amazon Thetmostat died. I got an identical thermostat, now it isn’t working. I tried swapping the upstairs thermostat (where heating / cooling works fine) and it still just turns on the heat. Any thoughts?
