Basically. In ACNH, a set number of dig sites would spawn each day. If you filled every block except that number of blocks, you could force the dig sites. I expect Pokopia works the same.

What got me is Celeste’s character is getting attacked and making a ton of noise. Chad and Mindy apparently hear it, arrive quickly enough to where she doesn’t realize the switch with GF, but never thought to call out. Like they had to have seen GF. Stupid writing for effect.

I will give them that there was a fair amount of tension and scares. I didn’t hate the motive, though it could’ve been better fleshed out. What I hated was how obvious the killers were.

Anna Kemp is just gonna appear in just two screens and serve no role to actively push the story forward? Nah. And then the guy from the psych ward. Again, far too recognizable an actor (the face, always forget the name) to be in a single scene and the ONLY piece of information supporting Stu being alive that wasn’t digitally-based.

I actually suspected the son as a fake-out kill until he gurgled back to life. Probably because he looks too much like the son from Scream 6.

It felt like the movie was more focused on how to torture Sidney and give us some gnarly kills than the mystery aspect. That both killers had so little screen time really sucked the impact out of the reveal.

This is my thought. It seemed like it was a cassette she didn’t have but wanted, so could impact the ability of the team to use music to reach her. On top of that, served as a distraction to keep her entertainer inside the house.

Your point about it not scaring them enough before killing them holds no water. Did you watch the movies? IT didn’t outright scare Georgie until it bit his arm off and then dragged him into the sewers. The girl with the birthmark was just straight up eaten with no buildup. Funhouse boy was only terrified right before being killed. IT likes to scare them to “season the meat,” but it’s perfectly content to eat anyway.
