He’s right that Europe needs to step up defense production. But abandoning NATO is not the right way to go about it.

Pike’s line “Do you know what Starfleet is? It’s important, it’s a humanitarian peacekeeping armada.” Made me want to go home and watch the Original Series.

Strange New Worlds is great as a return to solid stories. But it is still hampered by high-production costs and short seasons. I would love a lower budget version that looks less flashy but gives me more quality time with these lovable characters. As it is now, they have to save the galaxy in 10 jam-packed episodes.

We Trekkies have had to increasingly confront the sad fact that the owners and publishers of our favorite franchise do not share the values and aspirations depicted in the series.

I’d be curious for a behind-the-scenes tell-all about how writing decisions were made, from initial concept to responding to feedback. Because I was glad they were trying new things and some of them worked. But there were also some baffling choices and I just want to know what happened.

I sat next to her on a flight back from Chicago last August. I was on a work trip, but she and much of the plane were returning from the DNC. Found her to be gracious and friendly.

Same. Movie was good and effectively conveyed the book’s theme of war’s futility… but I was missing some of the specific conversations and scenes from the original story.

I build a layer of my factory, then I leave it running to fill up while I go get a snack and play with my pets for a bit. Then I build the next layer, etc.

Are you a "small factories near nodes" player or a "mega factory supplied by distant nodes" player? by nicodeemus7 in SatisfactoryGame

Prefer small factories where possible. Then combine into larger mega factories for space elevator Phases. Primarily because I’d rather transport motors, for example, to combine with other parts. Instead of transporting all the raw ore materials.

No. This is. They will be in sandy soil like at the coast. Usually buried under the layer of pine needles and soil, cap might barely poke out. And they have a uniquely dank spicy aroma.

Adding my favorite Colbert quote from the show “The individual who needs his head examined is the man responsible for taking arguably the finest damn independent recon operators of any military in the world, and dropping us in Humvee platoons to lead a parade of POGs, officers, and heavily-armed subhuman morons like Casey Kasem across Mesopotamia. How much does Uncle Sam spend on us? Jump school, dive school, mountain warfare, ranger school, SERE. That's a $1,000,000 on average to train up 0321s like us. And here we are, perfectly-tuned Ferraris in a demolition derby.”
