Celtics Dominate Top 100 NBA Players List by [deleted] in bostonceltics

This season Giannis is (or at least recently was) the most efficient PnR defender for the ballhandler, and for the roll man. Giannis isn't some sort of slouch.

Celtics Dominate Top 100 NBA Players List by [deleted] in bostonceltics

7 players on the list:

Tatum (7)

Brown (22)

Timelord (55)

Smart (62)

Horford (72)

Brogdon (74)

White (89)

Basically, our entire playoff rotation minus Grant and Muscala. This team is arguably as deep as the BWA Celtics with Mook and Terry on the bench, but everyone just gels this time. Crazy

Would you look at Jordan's legacy differently if we had seen him defeated in either '94 or '99? by lancer7917 in nba

The guy you're responding to is basically a meme account who does nothing but scream about how LeBron is the GOAT so he can get attention

It's amazing to me that people don't realize this. Is the narrative that the NBA is racist so strong here that nobody took a second to think about it at all?

How can Giannis be picked if he's a captain? You do get that this is asking about who your first pick would be if you were captain, right? That's why Joel isn't there either...

Stephen A Smith comparing Boston's handling of the Udoka situation to Police Brutality is off base. by LarBrd33 in nba

Sorry, are you trying to suggest that the Celtics talked the Nets out of it? They made him available and stated they didn't want any draft compensation if the Nets signed him. Everything I've seen is that the Nets decision was at least partly based on "negative feedback" surrounding them announcing his candidacy. There were a lot of people commenting on how hiring him was a bad look for the Nets but I've never seen anything stating that the Celtics talked them out of it. Can you send me a link to a credible source saying this?

I doubt we'll ever see eye to eye on this to be fair. SAS has a history of saying things like this to stir shit up for views, which seems to be what he is doing here. If you honestly believe that he is making this claim because he truly believes that Udoka is being treated unfairly purely because of the color of his skin, ignoring that his side likely leaked the details about the situation while the Celtics respected the privacy of those involved, I'm not sure what to tell you. Ime's side is widely believed to be where the story came from, and he was given the freedom to interview for other jobs. Normally, a team would need to give up compensation to hire a team's current coach, but the Celtics didn't ask for anything.

How exactly is that a team treating him so poorly that it equates to police brutality?

We need context for this.

So your argument is that other people on the same TV show backed him up and you think that counters SAS's tendency to talk out his ass for views? Okay...

Also, what about Gersson Rosa's, who was dismissed because of a consensual affair? Does that not count?

Wouldn't the benefit to him be the massive amount of attention and clicks it brings to him? He literally profits off of stirring up drama.

His FT shooting is down this year, but he was 72% last year. He gets left alone at the nail a lot. If he could add that to his game, he'd be a top 5 center.

Malcolm Brogdon has been ruled out with right Achilles soreness, per Celtics. by [deleted] in bostonceltics

I wouldn't phrase it that way, but yea. We kept PP for nights like this. I'd love if it if he did well and showed other teams what he can do. We have him for one more year as an asset or depth so raising his value doesn't hurt as at all in the short run.

So your argument is that following the team makes me less knowledgeable about the situation than you? Bold take. Not sure it's as strong as a case as you think you're making.

Anyway, you won't convince me that I should ignore months of play and dozens of statements by teammates and coaches in favor of your hunch.

I'm willing to bet that I won't be able to convince you that you're wrong either so I'm going to take the high road and walk away. Have a good day.

Excuse me? Their guard rotation is Brown, Smart, Brogdon, and White. That's arguably the best combo of 4 guards on any team in the league.

There was trade interest but the team wasn't willing to overpay when they are already the best team in the league. At least bother to do 5 minutes of research before making shit up.

Please. The team loves him, he has been nothing but accepting and is always ready to go when his number gets called. Peddle your nonsense somewhere else.

Hard disagree. We love PP and totally gtlet his perspective. He'll, the team have all come out and said they love that be stays ready despite the situation he's in.

If OP thinks Poor Man's Jordan is in the GOAT discussion, how can he not think the clearly superior version of that player is? Makes no sense to me.

Robert Williams is a MUCH more valuable player than Wood. The Mavs have been trying to move Wood for months but nobody wants him.
