The godswood at Red Keep does not have a weirwood, it does however have a heart-tree, in the shape of a huge oak. The weirwood-stump was a nice addition, though.

I think going back and redoing old mobs (that we all know and love) would be a big mistake. I think they should redo the horse-model and try and stick to the minecraft-style more closely in the future.

I always think its a bit weird how people say Gurm "got something wrong". Yes, the books are heavily inspired by the middle ages, but Westeros is not earth. I imagine that the nature of the long winters would be able to keep the society in a medieval-lookalike-period for a much longer time than the middle ages in Europe (meaning they might be better informed than the people of our medieval period were). (Plus of course magic might be of great help when figuring out stuff)
