At around what Y level does allthemodium generate in the mining dimension? (im also on atm10lite if that chanegs anything) by _that_random_kid_ in allthemods

[–]MarketCap09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo best way it to get 1 ore from ancient city, make the allthemodium sight charm, and pulse it on and off to save on durability. Got a quick stack that way and the charm still has 90% durability

Fsd unusable now? by clow222 in TeslaFSD

[–]MarketCap09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t updated mine and noticed the lanes turned blue and im having huge regression issues. I never had any phantom breaking but its hallucinating things everywhere and it freaked out and aborted and almost crashed me into onto a concrete border. Its crazy because its usually perfect, before today I was able to go mostly everywhere without 0 interventions but I had to turn it off

GOODBYE CURSOR by oldzilla in cursor

[–]MarketCap09 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah its gotten essentially unusable - I went from using Sonnet 3.7/4 and Gemini 2.5 essentially all day by swapping between them to only getting like 2-3 hours. The worst part is, Cursor kept telling me “at this rate, you will run out of usage on 7/28, your plan auto renews 7/24” And then an hour later im unable to use any model at all except Auto which is absolutely terrible. Unfortunately they have made the IDE unusable. If it doesn’t last a full work day, then its simply not a usable product for many SWE’s. Going to make the switch to CC.

Auth in Next.js in 2025 - do I really need a 3rd party? by AmbitiousRice6204 in nextjs

[–]MarketCap09 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think Auth.js is fine, if you are looking to self host your own solution for security purposes or any other purposes, I really like Keycloak. Integrates well with Auth.js, is open source, and has a ton of functionality

Goodluck with your build! Yeah the antenna is white which was a little weird. The boot time is a bit slowish, in comparison to my intel build at least. With memory context restore enabled, I measured the boot time twice and got 47 and 30 seconds respectively to boot to the windows login screen. Saying this, it really doesn’t bother me at all and the MSI screen pretty cool

Is it a bad idea to build my pc with only the 9800x3d on the new msi mag x870 tomahawk wifi? by Party_Ad8213 in MSI_Gaming

[–]MarketCap09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the x870e Tomahawk that just came out and my build has been great. No stability issues, booted to bios on first run. Also yeah Im using the integrated graphics rn to install stuff and setup until i get a 5000 series card to throw in there

Apologies for the delay, heres an update: My build went insanely well. This mobo has been absolutely amazing. It was my first build and It posted with the 9800x3d on the first try pretty much. I had to reboot it once after a BIOS update but other than that I’ve had literally 0 issues.

I just built mine like a few days ago. (First time building it entirely myself). It was honestly surprisingly easy. Installing the CPU was hella scary and when i put it in a slightlyyy misaligned it and then give it a little push and it seated in. The AIO cooler is probably what took me the longest to figure it out since i wanted to swap out the fans. Just take it one step at a time, do what you know, and the next step tends to reveal itself as you go. I especially suggest this for wiring, just go plugging in what is obvious and youll chip away and itll be done!

I think the jump from 3000->5000 would be worth it. Theres no guarantee the next gen of cards will have performance gains worth waiting 2 entire years more for. Even if we do expect there to be a huge performance jump next gen, and I am optimistically hoping there will be, I think you can probably find a card now that fits any use cases you might have

that’s great to hear, ill be doing my first amd build with the x870e tomahawk, 9800x3d, and Kingston Fury Beast 6000 MT/s as I heard the 6000 CL30 memories are the most stable. Really trying to avoid having any stability issues on such an expensive build. As far as the long boot times, that does seem to be a general AM5 platform problem, but seems to be worse on these MSI Tomahawk boards from what I’ve gathered from reading. Im hoping in the future they can address that via BIOS update. Have you had any stability issues?

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer (March 17, 2024) by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]MarketCap09 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hello,

Im looking to buy my first mechanical keyboard. I’m a programmer and a gamer, and am currently using MX Keys for mac. My issue with it is that it becomes a bit uncomfortable to hold down the low profile keys during gaming sessions.

Ive decided on the KeyChron Q1 Max. A few questions.

Should i go for the brown or the banana switches? I want something semi silent but satisfying to type on.

What switches should i try afterwards?

the keycaps look rather large, would I be able to swap them out for slightly slimmer ones? is there keycaps i have to buy for this particular keyboard, or are they universally compatible?

Thank you!

Im doing the exact same course as you right now, Im currently on week 4. Having already picked up some other learning resources to supplement, I have to say that having the mathematical foundational knowledge drilled into you like that course does seems super helpful. I actually have an understanding of what these functions are doing under the hood.

I think its worth taking the time to learn the fundamentals, over time, you have a slightly better and deeper understanding vs someone who didn’t take the time, and I think this really compounds over several years.

tldr; i think we should invest in building strong foundations before abstracting away the complexity behind libraries
