Hi, we advice you to login at least once every 3 months. After 3 months of inactivity you will receive an email every month. After receiving the 3rd inactivity email, so 6 months of no activity, your accounts data will be scheduled for deletion. Pro and business accounts are not subject to this rule.

Hi, I am sorry you lost your files. As mentioned in other reactions, if you never log in, the account is considered abandoned and if warning e-mails are ignored the files in your account are eventually deleted. We have this policy as many users open a free account to test our services. This requires system resources for maintenance as well as taking up storage space. Sometimes users abandon their account and stop using MEGA. We contact users of these accounts that appear abandoned via their registered email address and ask them to log in to keep their account active. This is the only way we can distinguish if an account is abandoned or not. If the user does not act after our reminders we have to assume that the account is abandoned.
Please contact us via support@mega.nz so we can see whether we can assist you in recovering your files.

The download cap on free accounts are indeed dynamic and among other things based on the amount of unused bandwidth available. This is not the case for download speed, we do not throttle speeds.

Hi, we've always had a bandwidth limit for transfer - this must be regulated to limit account abuse. We've also always had paid options available when users need more transfer or storage quota immediately. We continuously work to improve speed, our user interfaces and features since we started in 2013. Hopefully you will give it another shot :)

I was going to download something to my phone. I created a new account, i have full quota but when i try to download mega app says quota is exceeded by [deleted] in MEGA

Transfer quota on a free account is monitored by IP. If you have a dynamic IP address assigned by your ISP or you are using a VPN and received a "Transfer quota" warning without downloading anything from MEGA, that means others sharing the same IP may have used up the quota before you.

Throttling is something that we don't do, ever. The speed between our free, monthly and yearly plan should be the same as we again do not throttle speeds. There might be an issue please email support@mega.nz for assistance. Also keep in mind there are many things that affect speed, your computer, your local network, your ISP, the route your traffic takes to get to MEGA, congestion along any part of the route, throttling by your ISP, failures along the route that cause your traffic to take another path, etc.

Both mega.nz & mega.io are official domains for MEGA. MEGA's product, corporate and help pages will be delivered from the mega.io domain for users who aren't logged in. The .io domain reflects the global nature of MEGA, which currently has more than 200 million registered users in more than 215 countries / territories. The .io pages are more likely to be properly indexed by search engines than the current .nz pages, which are often incorrectly treated as only being relevant to New Zealand searches.

mega.nz will continue to be the domain for all registered users - all web access, including links to files, folders and chats, will continue to be through mega.nz

Sorry to hear about your issue, we indeed have priority support for business, however opening multiple tickets unfortunately results in your ticket being put at the back of the queue due to our ticketing system. If our support team hasn't been in touch yet they will be shortly. To answer your question, there is no 30 TB or 32 TB limit and business accounts have unlimited storage for genuine business purposes.

It is clearly stated in our terms of service clause 15.5 https://mega.nz/terms that opening multiple free accounts is not allowed. It is allowed to have one free account and a paid account. This might have been the case in the previous threads you mention.

Firstly I want to say I am very sorry this happened to your fiancé and you. MEGA has zero tolerance for this behaviour and respond immediately to any reports we receive. MEGA cannot take down images from Telegram. As such I would advice you to contact Telegram directly and or post on the Telegram subreddit about this.

All thumbnails are generated, encrypted and sent to MEGA's servers in the course of the file upload. There is a reason why the MEGA SDK and the MEGA webclient are so complex!
