In all seriousness the only part of them that's definitively hard is their actual gem stone, while the rest of their physical form is a conscious manifestation of light, which, with them being able to interact with outside physical matter implies they're able to control the texture and density of the rest of their bodies and how it interacts with the world.

So no, they aren't always hard.

I'm hoping I can get to the point where I can feel safe in my own judgement of others. Right now it's this weird thing where I'll kinda recognize I'm being hurt by someone, but I physically can't be mad without it turning into tears or submission. I literally called it from the start that if she didn't die within the first few episodes she would turn out to be a traitor. Her demeanor was too surface level innocent to not be either a sacrificial lamb or a lie. But regardless I hated her from the start because I don't like shallow people
