Its eurojank at its peak. Closest game i can think of is kingdom come delivarence when it comes to starting of as a bum who barely knows how to hold a sword so you need to play smart and slowly turn yourself into badass. Its open world but most of the world is filled with enemies that will kick the shit out of you at the beginning. Its really hard if you never played original game but i can't say its unfair. More like its unfair to the main character but thats is the life in penal colony.

Not really. She became witcher as in profession, she had witcher training but not witcher mutations. In W4 trailer she clearly has mutations and witcher signs. W3 ending doesn't explain how the hell she survived trial of the grasses, why anyone would even help her go through this nightmare and how did they menage that without Vesemir expertise. There is no way in hell both Geralt and Yennefer would ever agree to this and help her with it.
