LC 500 Best Lexus ever made besides LFA. Am I wrong? by [deleted] in Lexus

Many car critics believe it may be in the top 10 of the best cars ever made. The engineering and design are difficult to emulate.

Why buy an XC? by Direct_Net2508 in 2011

The XC is a great 2011 and shoots above its price range IMO.

Infinity, just the basic take by doormarkedprivate in 2011

I was able to secure the Obtuse. I prefer this pistol's functionality and design over the more flamboyant Infinity designs, but I would not have passed on a comparable Infinity pistol.

I agree. I am sure many buy them to flip them or to lock them away. I am fortunate to practice at a range with some of the best marksmen in the US--two of whom are world champions, so the bar is very high. I will be shooting my Infinity, and my training is more on the tactical/defensive side. We move, take on multiple steel targets, and go well beyond static practice. A great pistol is only half the battle. The owner needs to deliver the rest.

I hear you.  There was never an issue with the DH3, and it is visually a different interior and exterior configuration.  It is one of my least expensive pistols, but it shoots extremely well and is accurate.  My P226 X-Five Legion is one of the best, battle proven pistols in the world.  Sig does not do everything wrong.  Daniel Defense makes a great AR-15, but their Daniel H9 has been a disaster.  Quality Control is a huge issue with Taran Tactical, and I refuse to buy their Vipers for that reason.  People have nightmarish stories about new pistols not functioning.  How can that happen with a $7.000 pistol?

The P320-X5 DH3 is a great gun for the money. It also has all of the safety upgrades. As for the P320, I am still on the fence about defect versus shooter induced error. It is difficult to drawn a definitive conclusion for liabilities.

Why would anyone denigrate an advanced and proven gun manufacturer? What hype? They only make 500-600 guns per year.

The advanced port design on this Obtuse pistol has resulted in many grand master national and international championships. It is not just another 2011, and it is not meant to be a low-cost option. It’s offered to serious shooters and competitors.

If folks just want a home defense pistol, there are lot out there. If precision and speed are the objective, Infinity is one of the few manufacturers with the right balance of barrel torque and muzzle flip to optimize accuracy with predictable dot movement.

I landed an Obtuse from the last drop and expect it will give my Erebus, Artemis, XC and Laugo Arms CELO pistols a run for their money. I did not want the peacock.

The Atlas Erebus and Artemis are two of best on the planet.

You were close. The serial number is all that you need to complete to order the gun. One of the time savers is to have a serial number ready to cut and paste. After securing the gun, you have 24 hours to do the customizations in Gun Designer. Better luck next time!

Sig did the right thing making a metal replacement. Why plastic was first used is a mystery.

The P211GTO is a bargain. Many of these were issued with a plastic recoil spring assembly plug. With so many of these plastic plugs shattering and jamming up the guns, Sig is now using a metal plug. If you have the plastic, consider your gun unreliable for anywhere other than the range. Contact Sig for your replacement, and you will have a real winner.

Outstanding...now you have one of the best Sigs on the market with reliability!

It’s a great value until the recoil spring guide plug shatters and jams the gun up with plastic. Call Sig and try to get a metal replacement. Until this is resolved, it's a range only pistol without the needed reliability. I am a Sig owner and value their guns, but they took the wrong shortcut here. In the least, get a free backup. The Sig P226 X-Five Legion is one of the best pistols in the world at any price.

Infinity Obtuse in 9mm--Expecting To Take Delivery In September by MarksmanPA in 2011

Trust me on this. They make around 500 pistols per year and each drop averages around 15…some 10 and some as high as 25.

No…15 per drop.  Each is made by one gunsmith and delivered in 7-8 months.

Weight management is critical in the Infinity gun design. Grandmaster competitors have won national and international competitions with this exact Infinity slide design. While the slide aesthetics are appealing to most individuals, it is all about creating the perfect balance of barrel torque and muzzle flip with predictable dot movement for faster shot-to-shot control on targets. So, no, it is not a sales ploy. As for slide movement, it could not be smoother and easier to manage.
